Weapons.

Every avenue should be used to get our ideas out there to the public at large. I go on about paper on the street, which I consider extremely important, but in this world of varied communications we should use them all. Serials, news-sheets, pamphlets, are wonderful weapons, but we should not forget TV (SubMedia for example) create more of our own videos, nor should we ignore radio, podcasts, now easier than ever to create, (A-Radio Berlin is just one example) these should be utilised to the utmost as prongs in our attack on this exploitative and corrupt system that tries to shackle us to subservience.

The following from A-Radio Berlin:

At the 5th of December 2021, the queer-feminist squat Syrena in Warschau
was brutally attacked and evicted by a crowd connected to the neighbour squat, as a revenge for anti-patriarchal actions that were taken before.
We spoke with two comrades from Syrena collective about what happened:
The recent history of queer militancy against uprising homophobia and transphobia in Poland, the background of the conflict and the attack of the 5th, the material and political consequences of the incident, and how to support feminist and anti-centralist struggle within polish and global anarchist movement.

Slovenia.

With the people taking to the streets in an attempt to force real change, in country after country, it's difficult to keep up to date with all the various uprisings. Blogs, twitter,  facebook, etc. can be very helpful, but a conversation with some of those involved can give a abetter picture of what is actually happening, and why.
Podcasts are becoming increasingly popular as a method of getting information out, and among those that regularly give us reports from the front-line of protests and from participants is A-Radio Berlin.
This latest podcast is on on the protests in Slovenia, an interesting aspect of the Slovenian protests is that thousands of cyclists have taken to the streets in mass protests:
As A-Radio Berlin we had the opportunity of talking to a comrade from the Federation for Anarchist Organizing (FAO) in Slovenia and Croatia. Amongst the topics were the ongoing social uprising in Slovenia, the dynamics and challenges of such a movement in the Covid-19 context, state repression and neonazi attacks as well as a comparison to the 2012/2013 uprising. Last but not least our comrade offers an analysis of the tactics used in the struggle and how to possibly go forward.

Solidarity With Anarchist Prisoners.

The state will always try to lock out of sight and out of circulation, all those who oppose its ever tightening grip on our lives. As usual anarchists at are at the forefront of that struggle to create a society free from the grip of the state and its corporate masters, so are well represented among those who end up lock away in the states cages of repression. Like all prisoners, they need our support and solidarity.
Each year the end of August (23-30.8.) is the time for the International Week of Solidarity with Anarchist Prisoners. And to make sure that you know what this week is about and why it is needed we made an interview with a comrade who is part of the group that organized this years' Week of Solidarity.
This audio has been published originally as part of the International Anarchist Radio Network's "Bad News" show #15 (September 2018), which you can find here: https://www.a-radio-network.org/bad-news-angry-voices-from-around-the-world/bad-news-episodes/episode-15-09-2018/.

Phoney Justice And The Illusion Of Democracy.

Name your country and people end up in cages on trumped up charges. The so called "rule of law" will be used to excuse violence, corruption, intimidation and repression. Phoney charges, planted evidence, false statements by the lackeys of the "judiciary", are all tools the system will use to silence opposition to its exploitation, prolong the illusion of democracy and protect the parasites who gorge on the sweat and blood of the people. Their control can only survive by these techniques, without them their whole stinking system would drown in a tidal wave of justice. That tidal wave of justice is rising, how high that tide will be, how soon will it arrive, that's up to us all. We are the waves that will wash the festering system to the sewers, where it belongs.

In May of 2016, two of our comrades in Azerbaijan, Qiyas Ibrahimov and Bayram Mammadov, were arrested for spray painting the monument of the former dictator Haydar Aliev. It was on the night before the so-called "Flower holiday“, a day made up in conmemoration of Haydar, the father of the current President of Azerbaijan. Nonetheless, as the charges for spray painting would not have been very high, more than 1 kilogram of heroin was planted in each of our comrades‘ homes.
They were processed on different trials. Qiyas has already been sentenced to 10 years of prison, his friend Bayram Mammadov is still on trial.
From Azerbaijani comrades we received the text of Qiyas‘ speech in front of the jury, him being interrupted regularly by the judge. In support of his case, we made an audio version of this speech and the judge’s comments.

You can find the speech in the attached document.

Anarchism Across Europe.

Another episode from A-Radio-Berlin as part of their journey across Europe.
As part of a journey through Eastern Europe a member of the Anarchist Radio Berlin (aradio.blogsport.de) had the opportunity of talking to a comrade of Syrena. Syrena is a squat in the inner city of Warsaw and has its origins in the tenants movement. In this interview we talk about the huge amount of activities like anti-racist work, social work and anarchist activities that are getting started out of Syrena. Further we talk about the connection to the Przychodnia Squat which is located directly behind Syrena as well as about the comrade's personal opinion of the controversial selling of the Od:zysk Squat in Poznan, which is quite an current issue in the Polish movement.

Anarchism And Art.

People's perceptions of anarchism will vary according to what section of that babbling brook of bullshit, the mainstream media, they seek their information. The establishment would have people believe that anarchism is something odd, indulged in by a small group of oddities. An activity where these oddities run around the streets waving black flags and throwing things.

Of course to the informed, anarchism is an all encompassing way of life, a whole value structure that seeks freedom from coercion. and justice for all, a life of mutual aid, voluntary association and co-operation. Anarchism is the desire for all to reach their full potential in creativity for the benefit of all. This means that anarchism is always linked to "the arts", creativity, and self-expression. Though you may not have grasped it yet, anarchism is for you.
The following is a short talk on anarchism and art, by A-Radio, Berlin.
