Corporate Fascism Or True Democracy?

The financial Mafia and multi-national corporations, work relentlessly to ever increase their power over the various states, attempting to standardise legislation so that it works in their favour, allowing them to run roughshod over anything that may hinder their ever more brutal plunder for profit. No country will be able to pass legislation that may hinder the corporate world's projected profits. If they do so, they can face costly legal battles in special courts that favour the corporate world. Health and safety measures could be challenged, environmental protection can be deemed to jeopardise their future profits, and the people can go to hell in a hand cart.
For far too long the financial Mafia and the corporate fascists have fattened their bank accounts by sucking the blood from the people, spreading misery and deprivation in their wake. They have hi-jacked the world's resources and used its people as mere commodities. The time has surely come when we put a stop to this system that survives by the plundering of the many by the few. This is a man made system of corporate greed, it can be destroyed and replaced by a system of justice, sustainability and co-operation, a system that sees to the needs of all our people. However, this can only be done by the people, when the people have that desire for justice for all. Have we reached that time?
A sample of what is in store for us, from SumOfUs:

Huge news: The final TPP text has just been released to the public. And just as we thought, it's full of give-aways for big business.
To go into effect, the deal must be ratified by legislatures in countries that include Canada, the U.S., Australia, and New Zealand. If we can convince even one of those countries not to ratify, the deal could be dead -- but we're really running out of time.
SumOfUs is one of the only organizations in the world with enough global reach to launch and support grassroots campaigns everywhere where widespread opposition to the TPP exists. We need your help to make opposition to this deal as strong as we possibly can. Will you chip in £1 to help stop the TPP?
Yes, I'll donate £1 to help stop the Trans-Pacific Partnership.
It's absolutely astonishing that a deal this huge would be negotiated entirely in secret. 792 million people live in countries that are party to this deal, yet this is the first any of us have officially been able to see the full text. And in keeping with the secrecy of the deal, the text was released at midnight in New Zealand when they thought most of the world wouldn't notice.
We don't think you should need a law degree to make sense of the deal that will affect every single one of us. So we need to make sure the public knows that this deal will drive up drug costs, weaken workers' rights, and put corporations on the same level as sovereign nations, able to sue in special TPP courts to overturn protections for consumers and the environment.
Will you donate £1 to help stop the Trans-Pacific Partnership?
If you chip in today, here’s just some of what we’ll be able to do together:
Create easy-to-understand, sharable explanations of what's wrong with the TPP to share on social media. Work across party lines to get conservatives and progressives who oppose the deal working together. For instance, in the U.S., top candidates in both parties have come out against the TPP, putting enormous pressure on Congress to say no.
Target MPs who are up for re-election in Australia and New Zealand and Canada's new government.
The TPP has never been so close to becoming a reality, but we can still stop it if we all pitch in. Will you donate £1 today?
Yes, I'll chip in £1 to help stop the Trans-Pacific Partnership.

Thanks for all that you do,

Corporate Fascism's Strangle Hold.

Every day it becomes ever more clear that the world is not controlled by governments, but by corporations. More and more the big corporations and the financial Mafia, shape the structure of our societies, they dictate to governments the policies that they want, and these policies are never for the benefit of the citizens of those countries. All is to maximise profit for their shareholders, anything that gets in the way of that aim, has to be removed. This corporate fascism is not in its initial stages, they are at the point of dotting the i's and crossing the t's to finalise their total control over our lives, irrespective of what government you vote in to power. Today we have the illusion of democracy, tomorrow we will real corporatism. The shape of our world will be in the hands of CEOs in the marble halls of corporate power. If you're naive enough to believe that you can somehow stop this by voting in some messiah and a bunch of their cronies, you will be sadly disappointed. Governments are the paid managers of the corporate plan, the are there to give the corporate fascism the semblance of legitimise, and to control the civil population.
An appeal from Global Justice Now:
Remember the secret corporate courts that allow corporations to sue governments for protecting their citizens?
Following pressure from thousands of people like you from across Europe, the European Commission has now admitted that these courts are bad in their current form. However, the EU now wants to sign a lesser-known toxic trade agreement leaving our government open to huge law suits for things like raising the minimum wage or stopping fracking.

Take action now to stop the corporate courts.

Today is one year since the EU and Canada finished negotiating the Comprehensive Economic Trade Agreement (CETA). Our elected representatives in the EU parliament will vote on CETA next year. We need to remind them that as they have already rejected secret corporate courts, they will also have to reject CETA.

Tell your Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) it’s time to reject CETA now.

CETA is TTIP's little brother. It poses major threats to our public services, local jobs, the environment, and to the safety of our food. We’re facing raft of dangerous trade deals, and as CETA is the furthest progressed, it is vital we stop this toxic deal.

Best wishes

Kill TTIP.

Global corporatism creeps ever forward, TTIP is still not dead. A lot has been done by publicity from various public/social networks to highlight this power monster that is sitting on our shoulders. It is probably the biggest threat to our NHS and other social services, that we have yet encountered, it is the death-knell to that façade, that is labelled democracy, in this society of illusions that we live under.
We must continue to shout about this creeping corporatism that threatens to take the reins of power from national governments and into the corridors of power of the corporate boardrooms. A place where people disappear from the equations and are replaced by a plus or minus on the profit balance sheet.
On Thursday we have a rare chance to scrutinise the EU-US trade deal TTIP in Parliament. TTIP is being negotiated in secret. But thanks to campaigning by people like you, our elected representatives will get a chance to air their concerns about TTIP.

We only have 3 days until the debate in Parliament. Please write to your MP to help stop TTIP.

The Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) represents a huge shift in power from ordinary people to corporate interests. It could give corporations new rights to sue governments in dodgy off-shore courts as well as weaken public services and labour and environmental standards.

Take action now to say no to TTIP.

By the time TTIP is debated in Parliament on Thursday the World Development Movement will have become Global Justice Now. We look forward to continuing to campaign with you for a world where resources are in the hands of the many not the few.

Together we can defeat dangerous trade deals like TTIP.

Best wishes,

COMING TO A CITY NEAR YOU.

What is happening in Greece is a crime against a people deliberately perpetrated by the financial Mafia for no other reason than greed. The Greek people are being sacrificed on the altar of corporate fascism. What is more it will not stop at Greece, it is coming to a city near you--- soon.

From Teacher Dude's Grill and BBQ:

Park bench converted into a temporary home for Greece's homeless

With poverty pushing more and more Greeks onto the streets, parks in the northern port city of Thessaloniki are rapidly being taken over by the homeless. However, with temperatures dropping and heavy rains predicted its not sure how they'll be able to last out the winter in such conditions.

I asked the permission of those staying here before I took this picture. I had a hard time getting that permission but once I explained that my aim wasn't to show them but the conditions in which they were forced to live, they agreed.

LOOKS NICER THAN JACKBOOTS, - JUST AS BRUTAL.

The "industrial revolution" rolled over the people of Europe and for about the next 250 years or so, the ordinary people of Britain and the rest of Europe struggled to force little increments from the employers to try to improve their meager conditions. Inch by painful inch we won small concessions, and tried to hand those successes on to the next generation who would hopefully carry on the struggle for total emancipation from wage slavery.
The conditions that we have at the moment, though far from what we want, were won in hard fought struggles. People went to prison and in some cases were executed, as they fought to improved our conditions. Nothing we have today was handed to us by the employers or the state, it was always our endless battles that brought as what we have. Now this corporate fascist regime of millionaires that sit in the  Westminster Houses of Hypocrisy and Corruption are determined to claw it all back and remove what little workplace rights that we have won.
The so called "deficit reduction" is a guise used by employers and backed up by the state, with which to tear up all agreements between workers and employers. The UK's corporate hatchet man, George Osborne, is attempting to bribe the workers with a handful of silver in exchange for all those rights won over the last 250 years of bitter and painful struggle. For a couple of thousand shares in the company, you can abandon all union protection, workplace rights, the right to a tribunal for unfair dismissal, redundancy payments and a host of other things. We don't have the right to give these away, we hold those rights as custodians with the obligation to hand them on to our children and grandchildren. They are not ours to sell for a quick buck.
The legislation will be optional at first, though you will, in all probability, be obliged to sign up if you want a job with firms that make it their policy. it will then be introduced to all new firms making it compulsory if you want a job with them. This is corporate fascism by bribery, it looks nicer than jackboots, but the result is still the same, all rights with your employer, to use you or dispose of you at will. Your freedom and self respect are at stake. It should be resisted with the same anger and ferocity as the jackboots on the streets, it is all limbs of the same vile beast.

BARE KNUCKLE CAPITALISM.

Western governments have now disposed of the thin smoke of the illusion of democracy, as they power through legislation that decimates the living standards of the ordinary people, in order to stuff the banks with money, (liquidity). They proceed with ideological measures that never appeared in any election manifesto, if they had appeared in writing, they would never have been voted into power.
With one fell swoop, the Greek government has banned ALL public gatherings, in Athens and Athens Airport, on Tuesday, the day of Angela Merkel's visit. At least they realise the anger of the people. They have also made "preemptive" arrests, never mind, "innocent until proved guilty" and all that.

Greek police bans all gatherings and protests during Angela Merkel’s visit to Athens

In an unprecedented move, greek police has just announced a ban of all gatherings and protests in the wider centre of Athens plus the city’s airport and the main thoroughfares to it. According to the decision, the only areas excluded are Omonoia and Syntagma square. The ban will run from 9am to 10pm on Tuesday, 9th of October.
At the same time, police announced that will carry out preemptive detains today.

18 members of Public Electricity Company’s workers union were arrested for occupying the centre of informatics of the company

Last night 18 members of the Public Company of Electricity  workers union were arrested. The union members occupied the informatics centre of the company in order to protest to the plans to privatize the company. But they also wanted to gain information about very big businesses with close political tights which were not charged the special property tax that was enforced to the citizens, leading to poor people having their home’s power supply cut off. A couple of hours after the occupation, riot police raided the building and arrested them all.
I call it corporate fascism, dressed up as bare knuckle capitalism.

SHE'S JUST CHECKING THE BOOKS.

With the Greek people struggling to survive the financial Mafia's onslaught it would appear to be rubbing salt on the wound when the chief hit-man of that Mafia, Angela Merkel, is to pay a visit to their capital Athens. I have no doubt she will be there to check over the books and see that the subservient Greek government is doing what it is told. Seeing that it is selling off enough of the people's assets to her corporate friends and at the right price. She will also be throwing a bankers eye over the plundering of the public purse to see that all the wee nooks and crannies have been duly emptied into the coffers of her bankster cronies.

The people have to tighten their belts to get us out of this mess.

After much consideration I've decided that I'll be going down to Athens to cover the protests planned for the arrival of German chancellor, Angela Merkel to Greece. It's not a decision to be taken lightly as angry protesters are unlikely to be throwing rose petals and messages of good luck tomorrow. Already political organisations from across the entire political spectrum have said they will be calling upon supporters to take part in anti - austerity demonstrations on Tuesday in the centre of the Greek capital. In addition both public and private sector trade unions will be also part of the mix with marches set for 1 pm in Syntagma Square*, opposite parliament and the scene of the many violent confrontations.
For their part, the Greek police has announced, depending on which media source you use, that 6000, 6500 or 7000 officers will be on duty including the notoriously violent riot units known as the MAT. Also 4 water canons will be on standby, marking an escalation in the arms race between police and protesters in Greece.
As far as the foreign and local mainstream media is concerned the visit by Merkel is being hailed as a diplomatic triumph for Greek PM, Antonis Samaras and proof that Germany is determined to keep Greece within the Eurozone. On the internet and in the streets and cafes the arrival of the German leader has provoked a reaction of anger and dismay, being viewed as an arrogant act of provocation at a time when the nation's poorest are being hammered by an public service cuts and tax hikes during an economic downturn unprecedented in modern Greek history.
Last week's policing fiasco when demonstrating shipyard workers stormed the grounds of the ministry of defence unopposed means the law enforcement authorities and the government will be determined to show that they are in charge of the situation on the streets. In operational terms that means the gloves will be off and a repeat of the violent clashes that marked the mass Indignant rallies last year is a distinct possibility.

THE IMF IMPLEMENTING CORPORATE FASCISM.

This is democracy under the auspices of the IMF (International Mankind Fuckers). Spain has the highest unemployment in Europe and the instructions from the financial Mafia is, just as it is in Greece, Italy, UK, and other countries across Europe, more cuts, more unemployment, more misery for the people. The public purse has to be emptied into the coffers of the parasites that make up that financial Mafia, As long as they feel they can control the people on the streets, the cuts will go on and on. It is not a temporary adjustment, it is a shifting of all wealth into the hands of the few. Their move is towards a full corporate fascism, everything owned by the corporate world, no public assets, no public space, everything controlled by the boardroom, and the sad thing is, that they are almost there. This is an attempt to change the world, to put full power in the hands of the financial barons as they rape and plunder the planet to gratify their own greed and arrogance. Our living conditions are of no concern to them, a collapse of the social fabric of a society allows them a free hand to manipulate and control the worlds assets, while we scramble for a meager existence.

SMILING FASCISTS IN EXPENSIVE SUITS.

The corporate beast is working hard at cementing its grip over our lives, it already holds tremendous sway over most elected governments with its financial clout. But they want to go even further and create what would be one massive corporate fascist regime, they want to over rule any legislation they deem hinders their plunder and rape of the planet. Legislation might be for the benefit and welfare of the people, but if it gets in the way of their sacred profits, then it will be over-ridden. New fascism doesn't come marching down the streets in jackboots, it sits in plush offices dressed in expensive suits, but it is just as brutal and ruthless. We ignore it at our peril.
Dear friends,

We have four days to stop a top-secret global corporate power grab that attacks everything from a free Internet to environmental protections. This agreement is being negotiated right now by bureaucrats backed by corporate lobbyists. Click below to crash their secret meeting with our global call to kill the TPP deal:
Details are leaking of a top-secret, global corporate power grab of breathtaking scope -- attacking everything from a free Internet to health and environmental regulations, and we have just 4 days to stop it.
Big business has a new plan to fatten their pockets: a giant global pact, with an international tribunal to enforce it, that is kept top secret for years (even from our lawmakers!) and then brought down like a Death Star on our democracies. Big Tobacco, Big Oil, Big Pharma, Walmart and almost 600 other corporate lobbyists are all in on the draft -- including limits on smoking laws, affordable medicines and free speech on the Net.
The latest round of negotiations ends in just 4 days -- but outcries in each of our countries could shake the confidence of negotiators and scuttle the talks forever. Let's get to a million against the global corporate takeover. Sign below and forward widely. Avaaz will project our petition counter on the walls of the conference so negotiators can see the opposition to their plan exploding in real time:

http://www.avaaz.org/en/stop_the_corporate_death_star/?bwqhjab&v=17858

The deal, called the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), is written to protect investors from government regulation, even if that regulation is passed in the public interest. Leaked versions suggest the TPP would undermine protections for air and water safety and reintroduce measures from the US Internet freedom attack as well as steamrolling efforts to produce generic affordable medicines. Worse still, lawmakers who fail to conform to the TPP’s rules face sanctions in an international tribunal -- a place where corporations can sue us for deals previous governments signed in secret!   Negotiators say this is just a trade agreement, written to facilitate investment and profit for all. But the leaked draft imposes so many limits on citizen protections, it's clear this "trade" agreement is skewed to put corporate profit above people's needs -- that's not surprising since it's been drafted in secret with almost 600 corporate lobbyists.

But there is hope: Australia is bucking against the international tribunal system, and New Zealand is objecting to the takeover of its medicine-pricing protections that keep drugs affordable. Massive public opposition, casting doubt over each country's ability to sell TPP at home, could derail the talks for good. Sign the petition now, and forward widely -- the delegates and lobbyists are watching the wave of opposition grow in real time:

http://www.avaaz.org/en/stop_the_corporate_death_star/?bwqhjab&v=17858

US Candidate for Senate, Elizabeth Warren in a recent speech said: “Corporations are not people. People have hearts, they have kids, they get jobs, they get sick, they cry, they dance. They live, they love, and they die. And that matters, because we don't run this country for corporations, we run it for people." Let’s reach one million to stop the corporate takeover of our governments.

With hope,

CORPORATE FASCISM IS HERE.

When you look at how this country and most other Western "democracies" have developed along a continuous shift to the right, with us now at the point where it is safe to say we live in a system of corporate fascism, it becomes obvious that it doesn't it matter which party gains power. From Social Democrats to Conservative, from Liberal to Christian Democrats, form Labour to Socialist, they all end up carrying out the same policies, they all end up following the dictate of that hit squad of the corporate fascists, the financial Mafia. Even the smoke and mirrors of the illusion of democracy has disappeared, your elected government will do the bidding of "the market". Its policies will be shaped by "the market" as if "the market" was some supernatural being beyond the reach of man. Let's get it clear, "the market" is a group of men and women, sitting in flashy offices, shuffling billions of dollars, pounds and yen, to fatten the bank accounts of an unbelievably rich bunch of parasites. They are just a group of very rich, very greedy arrogant people. Yet because of them the governments legislate to keep the people under total surveillance, governments move to the right, states become police states, totalitarian states, states under the hidden rule of the military, as in America. They do this to protect the power and the wealth of those people who run and control "the markets" We are mere chips in their big poker game.

Finally, while I don't want to argue too much about definitions... the U.S. has more prisoners per capita (and in total numbers) than any other nation on Earth.  Wire-tapping and other broad surveillance measures have been codified by the state.  American citizens can now be arrested by the military, detained, and imprisoned indefinitely without the right to a trial.  All of this amounts to the very definition of a totalitarian police state.

TAKE WHAT THEY GIVE YOU, OR FIGHT BACK!!

Spearheaded by the financial Mafia, and with the IMF, (International Mankind Fuckers) leading the charge, the march of corporate fascism continues unabated across Europe. The social fabric of the Greek people has been decimated and a whole country thrown into deprivation, but still the financial Mafia want more from the Greek people, demanding more unemployment, more drastic cuts to social services and the destruction of whatever working conditions the people still have, one such dictate to their partners, the Greek government, is to introduce a six day working week. Also sell off more of the Greek people's assets to their corporate friends.
The Spanish people are now well down the road the Greek people have been dragged. The figures of how much Spain will need in a bailout has gone from €30 billion to €70 billion and now a figure of €300 billion is being mentioned. This is money that will be plundered from the Spanish public purse and handed to the financial Mafia. It will be raised by more unemployment, drastic cuts to the social services, the decimation of the health service and education, creating rampant poverty and deprivation for the Spanish people, as has already happened in Greece.
As this corporate cancer spreads, the people are beginning to realise the obvious, that relying on "the government" to solve their problems, is like asking the fox to take care of the chicken shed.

I’M PROUD.

I’m proud of my people, proud to be one of them,
that great mass on society’s bottom rung.
Those who, with coal-dust under their nails
in their eyes, in their lungs
claw at the earth's entrails.
Their brothers,
cement in their hair
in their mouth, in their ears,
oil ingrained in their fingers,
on their face.
Sisters, glistening with sweat
midst the ceaseless noise of machines
that throw out shirts, shoes, toys, carpets
for other people.
Those with soil and sweat stuck to their skin
smelling of the earth, feeding the multitude,
grinding out their lives in a harsh pitiless system
weighted down
with a sack load of half-dead dreams,
sometimes brought to their knees
by a tidal wave of despair,
never defeated,
groping in the dark to find tomorrow,
keeping hope alive;
they amaze me.
Somehow, from somewhere
in this cold, cruel
unforgiving scheme of things
they find love for their children.
Not a teaspoonful, not a cupful,
but buckets full, to bathe them in,
to pour over them.
They seem to know
that one day this world will be ours
and to take care of it
we will need those who have been loved.

BARE-KNUCKLE FASCISM,

After years of struggle to wrestle slight improvements in our standard of living, we are know having to struggle to stop those improvements being stripped away. The financial Mafia has dictated to the national governments of Europe its plans to recoup its wealth by plundering the public purse, and the so called elected representative governments have obeyed. Naturally the attack on our standard of living will create anger and unrest and as that grows those elected representative governments show their true colours by openly executing fascist policies. It is obvious that since Greece is at the forefront of the financial Mafia's onslaught it would be the first to see that fascist element emerge with a vengeance. What is happening in Greece is just a curtain raiser for the rest of Europe. All those representative governments who through smoke and mirrors, have created the illusion of democracy will have no illusions about dropping the façade and ruling with bare-knuckle fascism, to ensure that the financial Mafia's plans are implemented in full. For years now we have been ruled by corporate fascism under the guise of elected governments, but control is the main object and as unrest grows the gloves will come off, in country after country.
See a previous post, Corporate Fascism at Work.

This from Bureau for Defence of Refugees:
Communique No 1
10 August 2012
Greek government has begun to implement its fascist policy of attacking, arresting and deporting refugees and immigrants in Greece. It has deployed 4500 police around Athens and detained more than 7000 immigrants in less than 72 hours. The government instigated the attacks, fanning the right wing fervour in the country following the prosecution of a Pakistani who appeared in court accused of assaulting a Greek girl in Paros.
Irrespective of the alleged crime, such brutal and fascist crack down on the immigrant and refugee population is condemned and must be stopped.
The atmosphere in the cities and towns of Greece is intensely unsafe and fragile. The military police enters shops, houses, and patrols the streets and stops and arrests anybody who does not look Greek. Even the mass media is following the fascist policy of the government and specially those of the far right parliamentary party “Golden Dawn” and broadcast the most anti immigration sentiments. Athens’ public-order minister has said: “We will not allow our towns, or our country, to be occupied and become a migrant ghetto”. There is no difference between this statement and that of Nazi movement. The government has started to build more detention centers to hold up to 10,000 immigrants.
A human tragedy is happening in Greece. It is an attack on humanity and the working class by the far right forces and government of Greece bowing to the pressures of IMF and the European Union. We have to defeat it. Fascism and blaming immigrants for problems “at home” are inherent to all governments internationally. However, at times of economic and political crisis, the ruling class and its governments seek to find ways out of crisis, and attack the most vulnerable in the society.
Bureau in Defense of Refugee Right of Worker-communism Unity Party strongly condemns the “fascist cleansing plan of immigrants in Greece” and has started a campaign to combat it. We urge all to join our campaign to push this plan back and defend the universal right of immigrants and refugees.
We urge all immigrants and refugees in Greece to build their own groups and organisations to oppose these plans and actions, and defend refugee rights.

CORPORATE FASCISM IN ACTION.

As the poverty and deprivation in Greece deepens the state is still working away at repression, protests are dealt with in brutal fashion and intimidation on the streets is wide spread. What is happening in Athens at the moment is probably reminiscent of the Nazi round ups before and during WW2. This is Europe 2012, this is democracy under the financial Mafia, this is corporate fascism on display, but will it be reported on mainstream media?
In the past few days, police have been conducting their largest ever pogrom operation in the centre of Athens. According to the released information, 1,500 people were detained by police in the first two days of the operation (August 2-3) and another 4,900 in its third day alone (August 4). The operation has been taking place in Athens and in Evros, at the NE border with Turkey. At least 1,630 people have been arrested and are facing deportation.
In an Orwellian twist, the racist pogrom operation has been named “Zeus Xenios” — the ancient god of travelers and hospitality.
The racist operation is continuing for a fourth day today (Sunday, Aug 5). It appears that today’ s operation is centred around Omonoia Square, Monastiraki, Mars’ Fields (Pedion tou Areos) and Vathis Square, all in central Athens. We are getting reports that police stop, search and detain all migrants in their path, regardless of whether or not they carry documents.

VALUABLE LIVESTOCK.

Are you free, or are you owned by the livestock managers of the planet? In our era it is obvious that we are owned jointly by the financial Mafia and the corporate fascists. When you look at what is happening to the general public across the world it is difficult to find any evidence to support the contrary. Of course it doesn't have to be that way, we are creatures capable of rational thought and compassion, imagination, creativity and ability. We also have the inborn desire to be free, and the fences that corral us and the cabal that own us are not insurmountable objects, nor are they there by some divine order. We live under what is no more than a man made economic system, and it can be destroyed, and a system of compassion, mutual respect, sustainability, justice and mutual aid, can be built in its place. However, first we have to be aware of the truth, knowing the problem is more than 50% of the answer.

THE GROWTH OF PLUTOCRACY.

 From Inquiring minds:

My life in the West taught me the power of the land-grabbers. My experience in the East gave me insight into the power of the banker, The land-grabber cornered the land. The banker corners the money and credit. Both are able through their monopolies to plunder the producers of the product of their toil. The people of the United States are playing with fire. They are experimenting with an unworkable system of social organisation – a system that has been tried repeatedly during the past three or four thousand years, and that has destroyed civilization as often as it has been tried.

I have watched the Middle West grow from a sparsely settled wilderness, the home of Indians and of buffaloes, to the greatest center of agriculture and of industry in the world. I have watched the public domain slip out of the hands of the people, and into the hands of speculators, of corporations and of monopolies. I have seen the bankers, the trust magnates and the masters of transportation and other forms of monopoly rise from obscurity to their present position of domination in public affairs. I have watched the growth of the plutocracy—the few who rule industry, the Government and the press because they are rich.

THE EVER BUSY, BIG BROTHER.

No matter how much we try, big brother just keeps on growing. Under the present system of corporate fascism, it will flourish, it is their chosen method of keeping control over us, the ordinary people. Secret rules and regulations, massive surveillance, back-door deals done between government and corporate bodies and more draconian punishments for offenders. It's all part and parcel of this corrupt system, don't expect it to function any other way. It can't be modified, made more open or fair, it has to be removed. That doesn't mean we sit back and wait for its collapse, we have to speak up and speak out at every turn, continually trying to hold back the stifling, creeping surveillance with what ever means at our disposal.
This latest little pact by the corporate parasites need as much publicity as possible, spread it around, sign the petition.

You could have to pay a big fine for simply clicking on the wrong link.
Right now, a group of 600 industry lobbyist "advisors" and un-elected government trade representatives are scheming behind closed doors to craft an international agreement called the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP).
Why the secrecy? We know from leaked documents that the TPP includes what amounts to an Internet trap that would:
  1. Criminalize some of your everyday use of the Internet,
  2. Force service providers to collect and hand over your private data without privacy safeguards, and
  3. Give media conglomerates more power to fine you for Internet use, remove online content—including entire websites—and even terminate your access to the Internet.
  4. Create a parallel legal system of international tribunals that will undermine national sovereignty and allow conglomerates to sue countries for laws that infringe on their profits.
The TPP's Internet trap is secretive, extreme, and it could criminalize your daily use of the Internet. We deserve to know what will be blocked, what we and our families will be fined for.
If enough of us speak out now, we can force participating governments to come clean. Your signature will send a message to leaders of participating countries. Please sign the petition and share it with everyone you know
