           While our planet goes through a man made catastrophe of monumental proportions that risks the demise of most of the species on the planet, including our own, our political ballerinas pump out a mixture of bullshit and garbage. We are told it is our life style, that of you and I, the ordinary people have to change. We are offered advice on how to safe the planet, from taking shorter showers, shallower baths and only boiling the water we need in the kettle. This might be good advice in saving on energy bills as we all live in or on the edge of poverty, brought about by the economic system that is destroying the planet. However this advice will not save the planet nor make much of an impact. The only way to save the planet from this threatening doom, is go after the ones with the biggest carbon footprints. Instead of taking a short time in the shower, how about demanding that those in the billionaire/millionaire parasite class get rid of their co2 pumping massive luxury yachts, their gas guzzling limousines and private jets, and their several luxury mansions dotted around the planet. The carbon footprint of one of these greedy thoughtless parasites is probably equal to a small village and all its inhabitants.

       Then of course their is the one that must not be mentioned, the largest carbon 

footprint on the planet, wars and the military industrial complex. States will take no measure to ban wars but will ban non electric cars and replace them with electric vehicles which still produce all the co2 in the production of the internal combustion car, plus their insatiable requirements of lithium for their enormous batteries. Of course lithium comes with a massive carbon footprint in its mining and refining and shipping around the planet and massive distribution centres. The disaster of climate change we are all facing will not be solved by you and I changing a few things in our lifestyle. It will take root and branch destruction of the present economic system which is based on perpetual growth for profit for the few and poverty for the many. A system that allows a select few to amass unimaginable wealth at the expense of the planet and our civilisation, and who stand unaccountable. What sane mind would accept this unnecessary mad suicide dash because of a greedy thoughtless few.

Lithium.

 

           The corporate greed juggernaut, with assistance from the media propaganda machine and the various states, is pushing the electric vehicle as the the answer to our climate and ecological problems. What they don't mention is that the electric vehicle is dependent on lithium for its super sized batteries and all that this entails. The mining of lithium in such vast quantities is an ecological disaster in its self and also leads to removing indigenous people and/or destroying their land in an unimaginable scale. The electric vehicle requires the same massive destructive production systems as the internal combustion vehicle just changing the engine to one that requires vast amounts of copper and lithium. Both these materials are responsible for unbelievable destruction to our ecosystem.  One thing we can be sure of, as far as the capitalist world is concerned mass production must continue to keep the massive profits flowing into the coffers of the privileged parasite class. They will weave the various illusions of how they are moving to clean ecologically friendly production, while ravaging the Earth on a scale unimaginable a few years or so ago. The only answer to our pending ecological disaster and species demise, is to bring down the capitalist system and its insane economics of profit and perpetual growth.

Polluters.

             It is frustrating to listen to the various government bodies talking about minimising the temperature change on the planet, in an attempt at saving humanity and host of other species. They talk of green energy, while industry drags its feet, they encourage you and I, the peasants, to take shorter showers, shallower baths and turn the thermostat down a degree. However they never mention the biggest polluters on the planet. By far the world's largest polluter is the military industrial complex, the pentagon etc. and then there is the millionaire/billionaire parasite class, with their massive limousines, several mansions, private jets, and those monstrous gas guzzling multi-million pound yachts. Until we tackle these mass polluters, we are peeing against the wind. Considering they, for the moment, are the ones who hold the reins of power and control all the wealth, they are very unlikely to to do much to change that situation. If we are to save the planet and humanity, though the planet will survive and probably flourish without us, we, the ordinary people, will have to do the job ourselves, by bringing to an end, this insane greed driven system of capitalism and its plundering of the Earth's resources simply for the profit and wealth of the few. I don't believe we have that much time, so drastic action on our behalf will be necessary.

Victory.

 

           Turning my thoughts to the "climate emergency" or as it should be named capitalism's suicide mission, or the economics of insanity, a few wee lines ran through my head:

Victory.

Nature recoiled from the savage beast
A beast so fierce on its war horse of progress
sweeping aside all that was natural and beautiful
This blind beast conquered meadow and stream
Banished the fish from the seas
Left a trail of barren concrete and tarmac
Filled the air with odious gases
Eventually the beast conquered the earth
Now master of a dead and lifeless planet
A world that nature, maimed and bleeding
Finally abandon to allow the beast to slowly die.

The only way to get about town.

              Come November Glasgow will be host to one of the biggest public exhibitions of phoney promises, downright lies, double talk, grand speeches by political ballerinas and corporate bigwigs, eager to get a photo opportunity and their name splashed across the media. All of it will sound grand and pleasing to the ears, but it is just hogs wash and bullshit. All the big polluters will be there the oil and gas industry, the great, the good and the ugly, will all fly in on jumbo jets and private jets with a cavalcade of gas guzzling limos, all saying they are here to save the planet.
             However, three of the world's largest oil and gas polluters have in place plans to increase oil and gas production up until 2030. The UK is licencing for more more oil and gas drilling in the North Sea and is planning to build a third runway at Heathrow Airport to increase air traffic. Hardly a blueprint for cutting carbon emissions. The world's largest polluter, "The Pentagon" will not even be mentioned, to discuss this massive world polluter is off limits. The large polluting corporate world will promise to be more green but will still push to increase consumption to improve the economy, profit will always trump going green.
           You and I will be told to change our lifestyle, take shorter showers, boil just a little water in your kettle, turn your thermostat down a degree or two, walk and cycle more. Meanwhile, the political ballerinas, CEO and corporate hangers on will sail their £150 million yacht, or fly their private jet to the Caribbean to check their off-shore tax haven bank accounts.
          This is the truth of this Cop-Out-26 Carnival of illusions and slight of hand, grand standing promises and ideas with no back up of cash and no plans to put them into operation. Piecemeal titbits thrown in that direction, but the suicide path of this economic insanity we called capitalism will continue unless we the people decide we shall take control and bring this edifice of plunder and pillage and ecological disaster crumbling down. Let's organise outside the Cop-Out-26 carnival and relegate capitalism to a history story of humanities darkest hour.

            Do you expect your government to be honest? Well they haven't been completely honest so far about our climate emergency, but I'm glad at last they have come out with an honest message informing us of the real situation, so listen carefully.

          For centuries now we have had capitalist representative democracy as the model for the world, what we should note is that this is a very clever pseudonym to give it appeal, it is not representative, nor democracy, but it is capitalism. What it has produced is a world with vast swaths of the planet living in poverty and deprivation, endless wars, a ruling cabal of ruthless billionaires and a planet that is heading for ecological disaster. This only exists because of our submissive attitude to the ballot box, the vote is the establishments hand out of paracetamol to the public, it makes them feel better but does nothing to cure their ills. Isn't time to change the way we structure our lives? Isn't it time we brought an end to this human disaster. Let's fashion our world on the bases of equality, justice, sustainability and humanity, free from the capitalist profit motive.

Green Lie.

            While most states spout about climate change and going green, they still give the nod of approval to ravishing and plundering the planet's resources in the name of profit. one example is electric cars, all the components, mining and manufacturing processes that are in the standard petrol/diesel will still be there, all the metals, plastics, and other synthetic materials. The only real difference will be the extra lithium in the bigger battery and all that copper wire required for an electric motor. More mining, more factory processing, of course all done green. An illusion, like everything else wrapped up in this economic system of insanity.
          Italy is, like the rest, spouting green but giving licence to a mining company to devastate a piece of pleasant planet. The prize, that valuable metal titanium, widely used in that green industry, the aero industry. Green capitalism is about as possible as square circles.

A Crisis.

           To those who observe, it was obvious that capitalism and its minder states were heading for a major crisis in the form of ever increasing rebellion and revolt on the streets. Country after country saw the population take to the streets in anger and determination to change this exploitative, unfair and unjust system. However, whatever you wish to call it, Covid19 hit the planet and governments across the world seized the moment and introduced lockdowns, by some it may have been deemed necessary due to the circumstances, though methods of tackling the pandemic are debatable, but it cleared the streets in many countries and put the population, on the whole, in submissive mode. A situation the states would utilise to the utmost, to regain control over the streets and their rebellious citizens.

  

        However, in country after country the honeymoon is over and anger has once again taken to the streets, the old injustices are still there, the same ecological disasters are still galloping towards us, the same poverty and deprivation still cripples millions, the same wars for gain still kill and maim thousands, and the people are fully aware of this, and realise that it is part and parcel of the capitalist economic system, and to remedy these problems we must tear down the system and replace it with a fairer, sustainable system that sees to the needs of all our people and the planet that we call home, a system freed from the cancer of profit.

Rethink.

 

         Last year 2020, apparently, there was a survey done by the marketing and public relations firm Edelman, the result of that survey was that 57% of people worldwide said that "capitalism as it exists today does more harm than good in the world". We the ordinary people of the world didn’t need a survey to tell us the capitalist system is crap, millions live with this “harm” day and daily, we are well aware of and living with, the monstrous ecological damage the system of capitalism spews across the planet. Of course the result of the survey doesn’t mean that the powers that be and their survey merchants have decide to call a halt to their sacred greed driven exploitative system of capitalism. No, what they want to convince us of is that capitalism can move to a new stage, a fair and sustainable system, it just needs a little adjustment here and there. This new adjusted capitalism will of course not see the end to £150 million private yachts, private jets, personal luxurious mansions dotted around paradise islands, tax havens, where billions of £s are salted away for personal use. These plundered “privileges” will still be reserved for the masters of the system and their backside licking cronies. It will mean that the exploitation of the many, to maintain this imbalance, will be painted “green” and in all possibility jobs will be more precarious as the capitalist beast writhes and slithers to survive. 

           So it appears that 57% of the world’s population now accept capitalism is a harm to the people and the planet, will that be the tipping point where we, the ordinary people come together and start to dismantle this cancer that is eating our very existence. A realisation that it can’t be adjusted, reshaped or re-modelled into a fair and just system, it can be nothing but an exploitative system that benefits the few at the expense of the many. The answer is to abandon and destroy capitalism in all its various guises and start with a community based system of free association, mutual aid, fair and just distribution of the fruits of our labour, a system of sustainability that sees to the needs of all our people, free from the cancerous force of profit.

COP-OUT26.

 

        Come November 1st.-12th. 2021, Glasgow will host COP26, the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties, the 26th pretend conference on saving the planet. Even though it is glaringly obvious that the destruction of the planet is the direct result of the dominant economic system of capitalism, there will be no voices raised to get rid of capitalism. As they discuss their various half-baked ideas on how to cut emissions, there will be no mention of the world’s largest polluter, no attempt to put the hems on that monumental world polluter, the Pentagon. The world’s largest user, transporter and hoarder of weaponry and all its polluting machinations of war, death and destruction. The gigantic scale of this powerhouse of death and destruction, is by scientific evidence the world’s largest polluter, however, don’t expect COP26 to address this planet killer. Instead we will be told to insulate our homes, drive electric vehicles, which by the way still require all the mining, transportation and pollution from the car production industry as internal combustion cars, plus the extra pollution of massive production of lithium batteries. We will be told to change our life style but still follow the dream of capitalism, continuous growth, continuous consumption. We can expect the planet to spin headlong into oblivion if we sit back and expect the managers and minders of capitalism to supply the answers to environmental destruction. 

 

         The answer lies outside the COP26, it lies in our communities, the saving of the ecological systems of the planet lies in our energies and planning getting behind the destruction of the polluters, capitalism and the attendant Pentagon. Any other direction is an illusion, we have to attack and destroy the root cause of our problems, capitalism.

Take Sides.

       You don't like violence, then few people do, so when looking at the violence in our world, where should you direct your anger? At the unimaginable brutal, savage violence of states that bomb cities and countries killing hundreds of thousands of innocent people for power and wealth, that put police armed like robo-cop on the streets of our communities, or those same states that promote and protect corporate organisations that plunder the planet to the extinction of our ecosystem? Or those who would pick up a stone and throw it at the openly violent face of that state apparatus, or who attack the symbols of that violent state machine in hope of bring an end to the whole violent structure of the modern corporate/state system of capitalism? The state is violence, it can only survive by the violent repression of dissent, the state and capitalism are two fangs of the same vicious economic system that spawns mass poverty, deprivation, homelessness, wars, divisions between people across the planet, gross inequality and injustice, these are all degrees of violence. So why shouldn't those at the receiving end of this brutal system take to self defence and fight to destroy it, in an attempt to bring peace and equality to to all our people. When you stand and condemn violence in our society, be thoughtful and careful with which side you stand.

It's Time.

 

         The pandemic has produced a greater burden on the shoulders of the ordinary people of this country and abroad. To a life of struggle has been added loneliness, greater uncertainty, closer surveillance and an increase in poverty. For how long will we take this injustice in a world of unimaginable wealth, surely the time has run out for the pampered, privileged parasite class, who plunder the spoils of our labour. It is not just their plundering of the spoils of our labour, but their unbridled greed driven destruction of the planet that must force our hands in defence of the future of our grandchildren and all life on the planet. The hourglass of their time in power must now be running out  fast.

 IT'S TIME TO STORM HEAVEN.

Under the yoke of servitude we dragged our existence forward
For generations have fertilised the earth with our blood
Oiled the machinery of wealth with our sweat
We have produce bountiful harvests
A mountain of luxury
