Charlie.

You know Charlie, Lizzie Windsor's eldest son, the Windsor family being the largest family in UK on social benefits. Charlie leads a life of a feudal lord, lording it over his peasants who happen to live on his estate in the Duchy of Cornwall. This rather large patch of land can bring Charlie a nice little earner, somewhere in the region of £20 million a year. Why we tolerate a feudal system in a so called democracy rather astounds me. The power and privileges that go with being Lizzie's eldest son are staggering. These powers and privileges are not won by intellect, for that's a faculty on which I personally don't think he scores very high, nor by hard work, it was just a bit of luck being born into that large Windsor family and the UK's special social security system that keeps them in the custom to which they desire but don't deserve.

This film might be a bit on the long side but is well worth watching, it will drop a few facts onto your lap of which you were unaware. Thanks Loam for the link.

Democracy??

I suppose we are meant to have a little sympathy for that capitalist business, the Windsors, as their business enterprise seems to be taking a wee hit during this pandemic. It seems that their business has taken a £35 million hit. Like all entertainment businesses, they are suffering from a drastic drop in tourists, foot fall is well down because of Covid19. Like all capitalist entities, they are doing the usual policy of “savings”, a wage freeze for their staff, but I doubt if there will be any drop in the standard of living for the family members who own the business.

The Windsors at home.

Though the Windsors is a capitalist entity, it comes with lots of bells and whistles. It holds the stamp of legitimacy over a lot of what our “elected” Parliament can do and can’t do. It is claimed that the UK is one of the leading democracies in the world, a rather odd claim, since we have a monarchy. In this illusion of democracy, it is the Queen who opens Parliament, our elected Prime Minister has to ask the Queen’s permission if he wishes to close Parliament early, as Boris did not so long ago. Lots of what we have going on in our parliamentary world, has to seek the monarch’s permission, none of this is the hallmark of a democracy. The Windsor enterprise is a capitalist business, just like any other capitalist enterprise, it is owned by a family, it makes lots of money but somehow the family still manage to draw social security benefits. The benefits they received from the taxpayer’s purse, year ending March 2020, amounted to £69.4 million, this was an increase of £2.4 million on the previous year. How much did your social security benefits increase during the same period?

UK democracy on display.

This so called democracy is such a blatantly obvious sham, an illusion of smoke and mirrors, and at its head is the finest example of power privilege and imperialism in the world, which cost, you and I, the humble taxpayers approximately £70 million a year. Think of this as you make your way to the foodbank, the job centre, and struggle to keep a roof over your head. You could fix the situation, but that would require solidarity with a real desire to create that fairer, better world for all, and see an end to pomp, power and privilege.

Destitute In The Midst Of Wealth.

The Homeless.

Tenebrous spectres, they exist,    out there,
on the crumbling edge of chaos.
A father, a son, a brother,
a daughter, a sister, a mother.
Fragments of some shattered family structure,
waste products
from a society being driven to destruction
by a hurricane of greed
living a life that wears out life,
dying,
the devious death of exhaustion from existence.

The UK is the sixth richest country in the world, we can look about its cities and see opulence, indulgences in extravagant fetishes and in that babbling brook of bullshit, the mainstream media, we can read about individuals buying their latest £150 million yacht, or their latest £250,000 car. We are overflowing with the obscenity of individuals wallowing in lavish unimaginable wealth. But scratch the surface and we see poverty, deprivation and homelessness, the contradictions of capitalism.
Billions of pounds appear for war, likewise to refurbish the Westminster Houses of Hypocrisy and Corruption, and millions appear to shore up the London home of the UK's largest benefit family, the  Lizzie Windsor brood.
However, homelessness in this country has risen continuously, for the last seven years, but no millions appear to sort that problem. It falls on charities, friends and family to shoulder that burden, with cash strapped councils failing miserably to do their job.
Immigrants and asylum seekers are particularly hard hit in this area and lots of them, because of the system find, themselves unable to work and are homeless. Again it falls to the good will and humanity of the ordinary people to attempt to alleviate that particular problem. Glasgow's Night Shelter, has for years been doing what it can for homeless, destitute immigrants, all run by volunteers. Here is an appeal to come and see what they are doing and perhaps contribute support in one way or the other.

This is an invitation to join us on Thursday 8th February from 5pm - 7pm for an Open Evening at the proposed site of Glasgow Night Shelter's new premises.
The address is 24a Fairley Street Ibrox G51 2SN both the Ibrox and Cessnock subway stations are close by. It's also close to the bus stops on Paisley Road West. Please feel free to let anyone else you think may be interested know.
You'll be able to look at our proposed plans and drawings of how we plan to convert the buildings, what facilities we'll be installing as well as what work is required and how you can get involved!
It's even possible that some snacks and refreshments might also be available.
Please let me know if you'd like to attend. We don't have any power in the building yet so please wrap up warm!

All the best

The Public Gets Shafted, The Parasites Get Pampered.

Once again we see the priorities of this parasite controlled state. While ideologically driven austerity is forcing down the living standards of most ordinary people, our lords and masters have decided to spend £4 billion doing repairs the that monument to British imperialism, The Westminster Houses of Hypocrisy and Corruption, and as you and I know, that cost is likely to rise as time goes by. Then in the next breath, we are to spend £360 million repairing Lizzie Windsor's house in London, known as Buckingham Palace. No doubt that will rise as time goes on. I know that there is this lie being spouted that it is really Lizzie that is paying for this as the money will come from that raised by the "crown estates". However, that money is raised from parts of the UK and goes to the government for it to spend as it sees fit. It slides a portion back to Lizzie and her family to keep them in the style they don't deserve, the rest it spends as government money. So the £360 million repair money, is coming out of money that could go towards easing some social problems, of which we have many, but we know the priorities of that cabal with its fingers on the purse strings of "our" money.
In need of urgent repair.
So where would you like to see that £4 billion + the £360 million go, perhaps to train more teachers, or doctors, or nurses.  Perhaps sort out some of the problems in social care. Of course you know that that will not happen, as the wealth of this country is earmarked for the wealthy of this country, that's how this system of capitalism works. You can live in cold damp houses, you can struggle to feed your kids, you can watch your health service crumble before being sold off, you can see you education system come apart at the seams. However, that's your lot, it is called austerity, an ideology that never extends to that army of pompous parasites that take it for granted that they should be privileged and pandered to for their every desire. This is capitalism as it was intended to work, it has another name, it's called plundering the poor, and it's doing just fine, you get shafted, they get pampered. Ah, the wonders and beauty of capitalism.
 You're doing just fine.
