Solidarity Knows No Borders.

Syriza still playing the financial game and trying for modifications in the financial Mafia's master plan. Still waving the left wing flag, but still ignoring all the political prisoners in Greece hell-holes called prisons. Principled people are putting their lives on the line, in the name of freedom, but still the "party of the people" ignores their cry for justice. However they are not forgotten by their comrades on the outside who continue to show solidarity.
The latest update on the hunger strikers incarcerated in the Greece's draconian dungeons of despair, from Contra Info:

Till this day, March 23rd 2015, dozens of political prisoners have gone on hunger strike (most of them since March 2nd), demanding that the following be abolished: the special “anti-terrorist” legislation, and particularly articles 187A (terrorist organisation) and 187 (criminal organisation); the special repressive law (hoodie law); and the type C prisons, which are completing the state of exception for political prisoners. They also demand that the use and processing of DNA as means of evidence be limited; and that Savvas Xiros (who, despite having a 98% disability, is being systematically exterminated by the State for 13 years now), as well as the relatives of Conspiracy of Cells of Fire members be immediately released from prison.
We, a group of solidarian comrades from the anarchist milieu who support the demands of the hunger strikers, have occupied the ‘105.5 FM Sto Kokkino’ radio station in Athens. We chose to occupy this specific station for obvious reasons: it is the radio outlet of the establishment and currently also of the government, or plainly the speaking trumpet of the SYRIZA-Independent Greeks coalition.
The ‘105.5 FM Sto Kokkino’ radio station, same as the vast majority of media scum, distorts both the overall context of the struggle waged by the hunger strikers and the actions in solidarity with them. This occupation is an action stemming from the broader movement of solidarity with the prisoners, who are giving a fight that concerns us all.
We of the occupation in ‘105.5 FM Sto Kokkino’ are taking this means into our own hands and making counter-information a weapon! This action is part of the wider polymorphous movement of solidarity with the political prisoners on hunger strike.
Victory to the struggle of the hunger strikers!
Until every prison is torn down!

MORE ON STATE REPRESSION.

On the same theme of political prisoners, this time from Greece.
From Contra Info:

As already reported, the First Three-Member Misdemeanor Court of Piraeus decided to discontinue the prison sentence of Savvas Xiros for a 5month period (under constant police custody), in order to receive a medical treatment for his serious health problems in his eyes, ears and legs at the AHEPA hospital in Thessaloniki.
Even though the antiterrorist unit of the Greek police sought the assistance of the chief prosecutor of Piraeus, they both failed to rule out the court’s decision for the suspension of Savvas’ prison sentence. However, the repressive authorities chose once again to act behind the scenes and end the prisoner’s medical treatment with summary proceedings. So, after only ten days of hospital stay, Savvas was ordered to be held again into the dungeon of Koridallos prisons in Athens.

SOLIDARITY WITH POLITICAL PRISONERS.

Across the world state repression hits hard those who would actively work towards changing the present economic system to one of fairness and justice. One thing the powers that be, in this exploitative system want tolerate is the people trying to create a system that sees to the needs of all our people, free from the strangle hold of the corporate profit junkies. We should always remember, that it is not just in our own country or those far away lands under the grip of some despot dictator, that this repression takes place, it is in all the countries across the planet. We should always show solidarity with each and every one of those who sacrifice their own liberty to the cause of a fairer and better world for all.

Hello Friends and Comrades,
Here is the political prisoner birthday poster for August. As always, please post this poster publicly and/or use it to start a card writing night of your own.
A hunger strike has begun at multiple prison facilities in North Carolina. Reports are still coming in as to the scope of the strike. A list of the strikers demands and phone numbers you can call can be found here.
On Wednesday July 25th, the FBI conducted a series of coordinated raids against activists in Portland, Olympia, and Seattle. They subpoenaed several people to a special federal grand jury, and seized computers, black clothing and anarchist literature. This comes after similar raids in Seattle in July and earlier raids of squats in Portland. A website has been created to spread information about the raids and to support the victim´s of the FBI´s Harrassment.
Lastly, here is a link to the latest Political Prisoner/Prisoner Of War every-other week update by the NYC-Anarchist Black Cross. There are lots of good updates on many political prisoners.

POLICE HELP POLITICAL PRISONERS!!!

One reason I always stay optimistic about the future is the never failing ingenuity of the ordinary people. Repeatedly when faced with adversity, they cleverly turn it into an opportunity. No matter what the repressive authorities throw at them, given time they will always turn what looks like defeat, into victory. The rigid authoritarians can never defeat that fluid, clever ingenuity of the people.
This from Contra-Info.
ATHENS: Police steel plates used to seal squat, sold by activists to help political prisoners.
The Occupied Social Centre VOX, one of the two buildings that were evicted by police in Exarchia on April 20th, was re-occupied the next day by anarchists, neighbours and other people in solidarity, who tore down the steel plates sealing off its entrances.

On April 26th a few of the comrades who had helped the squatters re-occupy VOX, reported that all of the steel plates used by the cops and their paid mercenaries to seal it off were kept and have now been sold in the market, and all profits (nearly 300 euros) will be given as financial aid to imprisoned fighters across Greece.        Congratulations, comrades!
