Solidarity.

We are all suffering from this crisis in exploitation, in relation to inflation wages are dropping rapidly, prices are skyrocketing, the winter promises illness and deaths, through lack of heating, plus the prediction that in two years time we will be 7% poorer than we are now. We must, on the streets, in a untied and determined manner show our anger and disgust at the powers that be who are heaping this poverty on us, shout loud and clear, that we will not tolerate this any longer, there is no law that says we must be poor so that the rich can get richer. There is no rationale that says we must pay for the blunders of the capitalist financial gambling casino Time to say, Enough is Enough, support the strikers in every and any way you can, it is not just their fight, it is our fight for a decent standard of living.

 Glasgow Keelie supports the strikers.

Multiple pickets around schools, universities, and Royal Mail centres on Thursday. We have been asked to support one at Strathclyde University by folk in UCU and students solidarity group. Their main picket at Strathclyde on the morning of the 24th will be at the Collins Building or the Learning and Teaching Building on Richmond Street from 9am, probably marching to Glasgow Green for 12.30 for the big union rally.
Friday the main event will be a joint union rally at Buchanan St steps at 12.30.
And on Saturday, there is the annual Anti Racism march gathering at Glasgow Green at 10.30, leaving at 11am sharp.
All welcome!

Freedom?

The price you pay for not dressing according to the dictate of  authoritarian religious.

Are the people of Iran finally going to throw off the shackles of authoritarian religion? Are they going to grasp the jewel of freedom, free from the rigours of patriarchy? Time will tell, but it is looking extremely positive in what the people are doing on the streets of Iran.

The flames of uprising are once again burning in Iran. Yet, it seems different this time. A revolution is afoot, a feminist revolution.
The first sparks of the revolution started in Saghez of Kurdistan, the home town of Mahsa Amini. Mahsa Amini was a 22-year-old Kurdish girl who was beaten to death by the police for “improper Hijab.” Mahsa was better lnown as Zhina among friends and family. In the Kurdish language, Zhina means life. The Islamic Republic of Iran snuffed out her life and countless others as sacrifices to the altars of Patriarchy, Religion, Racism, & Capitalism.
The original sparks of revolt started by the chants "Jin, Jiyan, Azadi," "Woman, Life, Freedom" are now a evolution spreading to all 31 provinces and hundreds of cities. Even the ideological strongholds of the regime, Qom and Mashhad, are revolting. For the first time, the police are the direct target of people's ire. The Police have been driven back, beaten, and killed. Police cars flipped, burned, and destroyed. Police stations taken over and set aflame. People are no longer scared of them.
The revolution is bearing fruits. Oshnavieh is the first city liberated and in full control of people on September 24th. We are but one step away from overthrowing the death cult that is Islamic Republic of Iran. It has yet to be seen if we would take that final step. But, the people of Iran have already proven that they shouldn't be underestimated.

Liverpool.

Yea, I know I go on about not enough anarchist paper on the streets, but I think it is where the battle will be won, and if our ideas are not flowing freely through those streets it could be the wrong people that win.
Just released the latest issue of Liverpool Anarchists, issue 19 an excellent little publication. It is freely available for download at their site, love the image on the front cover. If you can, why not print a few copies and throw them around, after you read it of course, excellent read. Well done Liverpool.
