The Matrix.

Hi-tec has defined the way we live our lives and has shaped us to suit that platform. Just as the industrial age shaped us and our culture, so has the screen and the micro-chip shaped the present generation. At least the industrial age was mobile and social to a degree, today's world of micro-chips and screen is becoming more sedentary, less actual social contact. Thousands of friends but never met any more than a handful, all very surreal. A handful of high-tec designers are shaping the world for us, and it is not a pretty world, a world of a fast and furious avalanche of bite sized information. Before you can digest it you are buried under another cascading waterfall of bite sized info. Who are we, where are we, where are we going, who decides?
Some words of wisdom from Not Buying Anything:

Want to get an up to date, accurate assessment of humanity's current state of affairs so you can help change the world? Don't go to social media for answers, that's blue pill stuff.
The place we need to go is BOOKS, because so many are red pill material. Power brokers know we don't read books much any more, and therefore have not been aggressively censoring them.
Our attention span has been reduced to the size of a pea, consuming information in smaller and smaller bites, bits, and microbits. It is imposible to get a big picture look at things. They think that if we are confronted by anything longer than a meme or tweet, we will lose concentration and wander off.
But we can still read books, can't we?
I am going to give it a go because you never know when they will stage real and/or digital conflagrations to eliminate inconvenient ideas. I am leaving a link to a book that I have been looking at recently, because I am all about taking that red pill and escaping the matrix.
2021. The Year Humanity Escaped The Matrix, after 6000 long years.
Here's the link to a free online copy of Escaping The Matrix: How We The People Can Change The World by Richard Moore.

"We need a culture based on mutual understanding and cooperation rather than on war and conquest, a culture based on common sense rather than dysfunctional doctrine, on respect for life rather than the pursuit of profit, and on democracy in place of elite rule.
After six thousand years of domestication, we sheep must finally cast aside our illusions, recognize our condition, and reclaim our identity as free human beings.
In reclaiming our identities we will also be redefining our cultures."

The Matrix.

All this present economic system seems to offer the ordinary people is control, servitude, exploitation and a life of constant struggle for a half decent life. With the ever increasing advance of the cyber world we will watch our freedoms evaporate. It doesn't have to go the way that the power crazy control freaks that are in charge at the moment, want it to go. We still have the time and ability to stop this march to total control. We could turn this lockdown into a general strike and start to take control of our communities and work places and shape the world to suit all our people. Or we could meekly walk into their controlled matrix.

The First Industrial Repression saw us thrown off the land, forced into crowded towns and cities, used as human fodder for the dark satanic mills of the new steam-powered capitalist world.
The Second Industrial Repression electrified the rule of The Machine. New generations were born who had never tasted freedom. Their lives and their thinking were increasingly dominated by the rhythms of industrial mass production.
The Third Industrial Repression heralded the arrival of computers and robots. Human beings were now expected to meekly conform to these automated norms and functions.
And now we face the onset of the Fourth Industrial Repression (4IR), the most deathly repression of them all…
The 4IR wants to own, control and profit from everything that exists in this world. Its Internet of Things aims to create a matrix of total connectivity, of which it is the owner. You, your home, your family, your friends, your relationships and your activities will all belong to the 4IR.
Its technocrats regard you as nothing more than another piece of disposable fleshware, one unit among millions, just another figure on its global balance sheet of exploitation. The 4IR will track you and always know where you are, whom you are with, what you are doing.
It demands your total obedience. You can have no values, ideals or dreams of your own, only the ones authorised by the system.
Disobedient units are unproductive units. The 4IR will know how to spot you, if you even so much as consider stepping out of line. Its predictive policing will quickly identify you as an anti-social element, a pre-criminal, a thought criminal. It will send out its robots and its drones to neutralise you and protect the safe functioning of the matrix.

Recognise The System, Then Destroy It.

There are those who still think capitalism is a random array of busy entrepreneurs, busying themselves with making money. A mish-mash of large and small businesses creating wealth for themselves from producing things people want. That stage of capitalism has long since gone. This random exploitation has morphed into something much more ruthless, much more cohesive, much more dangerous and something that threatens the very existence of human society. We now have a small cabal, approximately 1% of the planets population, controlling every aspect of our lives, the shape of our society, the goods that are manufactured, the "news" we receive, whether there will be war and where. It is now a massive juggernaut driven deliberately and relentlessly by the ideology of greed, which blindly plunders and rapes the planet in the search for ever more personal wealth, control and power.
We have to view it in that light, it is beyond reform, it can't be modified to see the world and its population with compassion, fairness and justice are not, and never have been in its DNA. This destructive process has to be destroyed or it will continue down this path to humanity's suicide.
Put much better than I could, from The Winter Oak, (The Acorn):
Let’s be clear about this: the system exists.
You can call it what you like – The Establishment, The Thing, The Matrix or the Industrial-Military-Prison-Propaganda-Complex – but it exists.
It has become trendy in recent years to pretend that this is not so, that what we are seeing is merely a collection of economic or interpersonal relationships.
But it is the system that promotes, protects and imposes all the layers of domination and exploitation that mark our everyday lives.
It is the system that tells us we have to spend our best life energy working for it, just for the right to eat and exist in the world it claims it owns.
It is the system that pays its hired thugs to beat us up, intimidate us, lock us up for years if we refuse to play by its rules.
It is the system that maims and murders human beings on an unimagineable scale across the world, all in the interests of its profit and power, and still always claims the moral high ground.
It is the system that lies through its teeth, with a slick smile on its face, and is always quick to accuse anyone who challenges its lies of being a liar.
It is the system that devours, poisons and destroys our air, our water, our land and our bodies.
It is the system that brings death and extinction while claiming to bring growth.
It is the system that is always looking at new ways to monitor us, to control us, to infiltrate our lives, to direct our thoughts, to crush the tiniest possibilities of our freedom and resistance.
It is also the system, of course, that insists that the system does not exist, that we should not confuse the many trees of its oppression and control with an overall wood that could be termed an entity.
It says that anyone who talks of the system is necessarily a simple-minded fool who imagines the world is all controlled in every detail by half a dozen James Bond villains sitting around a conference table in an underground bunker.
It says that anyone who talks of the system is a conspiracy theorist liable to start spouting all kinds of deranged, maybe anti-semitic, nonsense.
The system says this because it knows full well that the rest of us – the powerless nobodies it so despises – will never be able to effectively challenge the system if we don’t even know that it exists.
On this point, and this point alone, we agree with the system. Identifying the existence of the system is the necessary first step to clearing the way for a worthwhile future for humankind and our planetary home.
The second necessary step is to destroy the system in its entirety.
