Blood Money.

Ukraine, its been a good war, champagne corks are popping as rapidly as the artillery fire in that blood bath that is Ukraine. Western weapons manufacturers have been reeling in the big bucks since the start of this human catastrophe. Apparently these pimps of war, the Western weapons manufacturers, have seen their total revenues for the previous year, reach a staggering $400 billion, lots of shareholders bonuses and lots of new exploitation investments. What's more, they expect that figure to rise in the coming year by approximately a further $50 billion. So you see for capitalists, war is good for business, so why try and stop the slaughter. That $400 billion is paid for in the deaths of of thousands, the maiming and injuring of thousands more ordinary innocent people.

Why in the name of the wee man in the sky would Western capitalists do anything that might bring about peace? The big banks and construction companies are also calculating how much they will earn in the rebuilding of the torn battered piece of land know as Ukraine. The insanity, make billions destroying a country, then make billions in its rebuilding.
This is the economic system that shackles us to insanity and endless wars, a system that spawns poverty and destitution for the many, while the few live in opulence and obscene excesses, all at our expense.

To harbour any illusion that we live in a democracy is political blindness. Governments are all now in the thrall of the world's financial Moguls and follow the dictate of the world's big corporations, we live in what Mussolini called corporatism. Until we recognise this fact and bring this insanity to an end by overthrowing and destroying forever, this insane man made economic disaster,  we will continue with endless wars, poverty, inequality and injustice, and sadly hand this legacy to our children and grandchildren.

Profit War!

To the corporate world every crisis has a silver lining. The Ukraine affair might be a disaster for the people caught up in the bloodshed, as is usual in war situations, the ordinary people pay in blood and trauma. However, to the corporate world it is seen as a bonus. The corporate/financial world of parasites has been creaking near breaking point since 2008 when the "Market" gambling bubble burst. They have been searching for ways to recapitalise the system and have used austerity on the people as the main source of that recapitalising, but the system was still struggling. Along comes the pandemic, and states throw money at the corporate word, money that the people will be tasked with paying back through lower standard of living.

However the corporate economics was still in a bit of a mess despite all that tax payers money, suddenly we have a war, yippee shouts the corporate bosses, the arms industry moves into top gear with taxpayers money flooding in as the West throws billions of £s of weaponry into Ukraine. The oil and gas markets seize the moment and shoot the price of energy somewhere beyond the moon. Another golden opportunity to recapitaise the system with our money. Energy giant Shell has reported its highest ever quarterly profit, a staggering £7.3 billion in the first three months of this year. Other energy giants, BP and Total have also reported a sharp rise in profits. There is a cash waterfall rushing into the share holders bank accounts while you and I face eating or heating, cutting down on life's necessities, seeing kids go hungry. This is the moment the Bank of England decides to raise the interest rate for the second time in months. This will hit mortgages, payments on loans, credit cards, etc.. In the meeting rooms of the bankers, financial Mafia and corporate robbers, they no doubt will raise a glass to Russia, with the toast, "long may the war last, because of it, we are doing wonderfully, thank you".

Why do we tolerate such an insane, greedy parasite driven system, why do
we just suffer and watch the shareholders laugh all the way to their new luxury yacht?

War & Profit.

The West owes the rest of the world a profound apology and reparations, for centuries the West has invade, plundered, and pillaged territory after territory. In its earliest days the imperialists, always marauded across the planet under the false flag of bring civilisation, democracy or freedom to primitive people. As time went on the reasons for these bloody campaigns changed, it was regime change to free a persecuted people, to remove an evil dictator. Then along came the war on terror, which necessitated exporting terror to other countries, and with modern weaponry our brand of terror massively outstripped the supposed terror we were supposed to be fighting, and the bloodshed usually lasted for years. Try and grasp the amount of death and destruction we visited on the people of Vietnam, of course it was for their own good, to save them from evil. There are times of course when the various western factions fight each other as they squabble of who owns what part of the plunder planet, WW1 and WW2. The latest bloody escapade of the West "fighting terrorism" is Afghanistan, 20 years of terror and bloodshed foisted on a country, 20 years of our young being killed, maimed and in some dreadful cases suicide. All the political ballerinas will be pontificating, with a mixture of wringing hands and pointing fingers, crocodile tears and idiotic answers to what we should be doing, have done and who to blame.
Why do we do it? Certainly not for the well-being of the ordinary people of that unfortunate country of Afghanistan. It is all about economics, a small cabal of very rich and powerful people make billions from war. Creating ever greater and more sophisticated destructive weapons, and every time one of these inhuman instruments of death and destruction is exploded, the military come running to order more. Wars reap riches to the rich and powerful, there is always more money for war, yours and my money. Thanks Loam for the video link.
I scribbled the following lines away back in 2001 at the start of the illegal invasion of Afghanistan.

FOREIGN POLICY.

Listless eyes, lifeless face
motionless body with hanging limbs
carried by a mother fleeing
foreign policy’s vicious whims.

No toys, no laughter
no playing in the sun,
a short pitiful life;
an Afghan child, 2001.

No plans, no choices
no hope by any name,
collateral damage
in the big players game.

WHY DO WE KILL HORSES?

We kill horses to make money for the big bookmakers and their cronies, the rich horse owning fraternity. The Grand National horse race is coming up and no doubt another few horses will be killed during that event. Last year's race saw 4 horse killed in what is not a horse race but an obstacle course where it is more luck rather than skill that will say who wins and who survives. Last year's winner was a 100 to 1 shot, so not rated as the best horse in the race.
In this country, the UK, over the year, 500 horses have been killed while racing or had to be put down due to injury while racing. This is a horrendous price to pay for what is supposed to be a sport. It is sometimes referred to as "the sport of kings" and I find this very apt, as kings never really bother who gets killed for their pleasure or power as long as it isn't them. Horse racing is big business and so as long as the big boys continue to make money from it, then it will never be taken into account how many horses die for that profit. It is like corporate business the world over, profit first, profit second and profit above all else. As long as there is big money in horse racing then horses will be pushed to and beyond their limit, it is not a sport, it is a business, it is only the punters that are fooled into thinking that it is a sport and continue to fund it on the illusion of making money. However rationalism tells you, that if the punters make all the money, then the bookmakers would pull out. When death is a very strong possibility it is no longer a sport. If it were the jockeys that were being killed at this rate there would be an outcry, but horses? And they don't even have a choice in the matter.
