MARCH 31st., ORGANISE, MARK IT.

There has never been a greater need nor a greater urgency for the people of Europe to come together to defend themselves against the march of capitalist greed. Capitalism has morphed, no longer is it the "bossman" up the road who employs the local people. Today it is world wide corporate fascism, unelected groups moving their wealth around and dictating to elected governments how to run their respective countries. The financial Mafia sit on the throne of this new beast, corporate fascism, and they are intent on plundering all public assets and directing all funds from the public purse straight to their personal coffers. Greece is just the start, that is the road that faces us all unless we can halt the march of this greed driven corporate fascism. Your children and your grandchildren are depending on your action now, it is their future that is being stolen. The following is the latest from March31 movement.

Dear Comrades,
we would like to update you on "M31", the European Day of Action against Capitalism, to be held on March 31st in many countries. Some of you may already know the project, or may have heard about it through different channels. This is just one further attempt to get you interested and involved.
M31 is an initiative of leftist, anticapitalist and antinational groups from Greece, Spain, the Netherlands, Germany and Austria. Groups from other countries like Belgium, Denmark and Ukraine have since joined the project. With the crisis deepening, we want to overcome the national and nationalist division of struggles.
Take a look at our international homepage: www.march31.net/

Here's our Call for Action, available in many languages:

Or follow M31 on facebook:

We think it's about time to organize a radical intervention. We're not interested in superficial social reforms of capitalism. We can see in Greece what the future of our societies will look like, if left[ist] resistance fails.
M31 is very much a work in progress. Who knows what will happen till March 31st! In Germany, we're helping to organize a rally in Frankfurt, dealing with the European Central Bank (ECB), among other issues. In Greece or Spain, interventions may be different.
If you like the project, please tell others about it. Get in contact with M31-groups in your country, and help set something up. If there's no group from your country on our list of M31-groups, send us an eMail, and we'll try to get you in contact with people who are already discussing M31 in your country. Planning an "open assembly" is a good way to get something started.

If you have any questions or proposals, please send an eMail to: m31@umsganze.org

Let's get it on!

UNREST IN THE MIDDLE WEST???

Massive demonstrations for over a week, municipal buildings occupied, spreading to other areas??? You've read it in the papers, saw it on the telly, sorry, no you haven't. I'm not talking about the Middle East, I'm referring to that land of the free, land opportunity, the good ol' US of A. Though these events don't seem to register on the Western media radar.
UK.
It is happening in the state of Wisconsin where they are facing draconian cuts and on top of that the Governor is trying to pass legislation that would abolish collective bargaining for all public sector workers. The workers have not taken it lying down, there have been demonstrations of 70,000+ and they have continued for approximately a week, the municipal building has been occupied and the demonstrations are spreading to other states, read more details HERE. However you will have to look hard and long to find it reported on our “open and fair” media. After all, they don't want to convey the idea that there is unrest here in the West, oh dear no, everything is fine here, we are the model for the rest of the world.
GREECE.
The cuts and the legislation that is causing the anger among the ordinary people over in America, is exactly what is going on here and in most of the developed world. Not only is the very fabric of our society being decimated to safeguard the financial sector, allowing them to seize all public assets, but they are doing their damnedest to introduce legislation to hamstring the workers from fighting back. It is only a few weeks since we had the Institute of Directors over here spouting the same venom, namely that all collective bargaining should be abolished within the public sector.
FRANCE.
Though the focus is on the Middle East, and I agree, their problems are massive and in most cases, a matter of life and death, that doesn't mean that people in the rest of the world are satisfied with the system. In fact there is growing disgust and anger at the continual siphoning up of all the wealth to a pampered parasitical elite, while at the same time seeing what living standards we have being shredded to protect that pampered elite. Make no mistake, the parasites want even more, and are making a grab for all the public assets that can turn a profit.
USA.
Most of us are living under a government that is putting in place legislation that nobody mandated them to carry out. We have a right to take to the streets and remove those who usurp the will of the people in favour of their millionaire friends. We have a government of parasites legislating to enhance the wealth and power of the parasites.
IRAN.
A unified resistance to this corporate fascism is required, not a piecemeal, in our own back yard type of response. The attack is on the working class across the globe, the least we can do is to hit back with a pan-European attack on this system of greed and exploitation, while at the same time supporting in what ever way we can all those in other areas who are rising up against injustice and oppression.

LET'S JOIN HANDS.

I sometimes go on like a loop tape and keep repeating the same thing over and over again. However I will continue to repeat my view that the only answer to the present savage attack on the living standards of the ordinary people in this country and across Europe is to co-ordinate all our actions in a pan-European struggle. We are no longer fighting our specific governments, they are only following the dictates of international finance. The corporate finance world is organised in its attempt to keep wages down, have a large pool of unemployment and transfer all public assets to the private sector. To hope to combat this with one-of actions at different times in different countries is doomed to failure. Spain has had massive general strikes, in France, Greece and Ireland the people have taken to the streets, the flaw in this was the fact that they all took place at different times. We have to communicate, co-operate and organise in a pan-European manner, just like our opponent, international finance. Our actions must be simultaneous, it is surely not beyond our ability to co-ordinate our actions for maximum effect. Governments can cope with one day strikes here and there, they will not be able to cope with a pan European general strike, imagine the effect of even a pan-European students day of action with every capital in Europe at a standstill.

That excellent website Anarkismo puts this view across much better than I could ever hope, read, think pan-European, communicate pan-European and organise pan-European.
