Sabotage.

There has been a united parrot voiced opinion from the West that Russia sabotaged its own Nord Stream gas pipe lines. There has no dissenting voices in this chorus, yet the evidence is there to suggest an alternate view. Also the CIA suggested that there could be an attack on the Nord Stream pipe lines, I'm always suspicious when the CIA suggest something like that and it happens.

The following is an extract from an interesting article on Arrezafe. Well worth reading the full article.

It cost billions of dollars to install the Nord Stream 2 pipeline across the Baltic Sea, from near St. Petersburg to the port of Greifsfeld in Germany. The idea was to guarantee a secure supply of natural gas to Germany and other European partners. avoiding its passage through troubled Ukraine, known for being willing to use its transit rights to extract gas for itself or blackmail customers.
Ukraine, of course, was always vehemently hostile to the project, as were the United States, Poland, and the three Baltic States, Finland, and Sweden, all keeping an eye on what was happening in their seas.
The Baltic Sea is an almost closed body of water, with narrow access to the Atlantic through Danish and Swedish straits. The waters around the Danish island of Bornholm, where the Nord Stream pipelines were sabotaged by massive underwater explosions, are under constant military surveillance by these neighbors.
“It seems completely impossible that a state agent could carry out a major naval operation in the middle of this densely monitored area without being noticed by the countless active and passive sensors of the coastal states; certainly not directly in front of the island of Bornholm, where the Danes, Swedes and Germans meet to monitor surface and underwater activities,” writes Jens Berger on the excellent German website Nachdenkseiten.

ABC News @ABC · Pres. Biden: "If Russia invades...then there will be no longer a Nord Stream 2. We will bring an end to it." Reporter: "But how will you do that, exactly, since...the project is in Germany's control?" Biden: "I promise you, we will be able to do that."Video link HERE:

Wars.

Image by Erhan Yalvac, courtesy of Daily Sabah

In every tragic war situation in which the West is involved, there is always the blame game, and we in the West always claim it was the other guy that started it. We immediately take the moral high ground, the other is evil, undemocratic, we are good and democratic. Basically that is all bullshit, wars are the result of powerful factions trying to gain or defend their perceived supremacy. It is a brutal and tragic game of bullying and brinkmanship and all for power, resources, markets and wealth, for that small class of powerful parasites that control the various corporate empires. The state will always be there to support their particular corporate empire, and be prepared to cajole the population into the roll of cannon fodder. The Ukraine situation is no different U$ and its puppets see Russia as a threat to their perceived supremacy and will work tirelessly to undermine and destroy that threat. Meanwhile ordinary people will die and the powers that be will sit back and enjoy any spoils that result from this bloodshed. In today's world, war and states are co-joined twins spawned by corporate capitalism.

One of the old intel codgers, Graham E. Fuller, who was Vice Chair of the National Intelligence Council at CIA back when I was an analyst, has it figured out. He wrote a piece sure to get him removed from woke Washington, DC parties:
The war in Ukraine has dragged on long enough now to reveal certain clear trajectories. First, two fundamental realities: Putin is to be condemned for launching this war– as is virtually any leader who launches any war. Putin can be termed a war criminal–in good company with George W. Bush who has killed vastly greater numbers than Putin.
Secondary condemnation belongs to the US (NATO) in deliberately provoking a war with Russia by implacably pushing its hostile military organization, despite Moscow’s repeated notifications about crossing red lines, right up to the gates of Russia. This war did not have to be if Ukranian neutrality, รก la Finland and Austria, had been accepted. Instead Washington has called for clear Russian defeat.

Contrary to Washington’s triumphalist pronouncements, Russia is winning the war, Ukraine has lost the war. Any longer-term damage to Russia is open to debate.
Sadly for Washington, nearly every single one of its expectations about this war are turning out to be incorrect. Indeed the West may come to look back at this moment as the final argument against following Washington’s quest for global dominance into ever newer and more dangerous and damaging confrontations with Eurasia. And most of the rest of the world–Latin America, India, the Middle East and Africa– find few national interests in this fundamentally American war against Russia

Ukraine.

To most people viewing the present Ukrainian troubles, the history of that country is sketchy to say the least. However we still see people taking sides and they usually fall into two camps, the nasty evil Russia, or the vicious American imperialism. The truth lies somewhere else and is many faceted and extremely complex, but as usual boils down to interference from powerful outside forces with their own agenda, to expand their control and influence over the planet and its resources, A conflict between opposing power blocks, with little or no regard for the ordinary people of their target area. It would also be good if we note the powerful influence the IMF, (International Mankind Fuckers) have on these situations, no prizes for guessing on whose side they stand.

By posting this video I'm not jumping into any of the camps portrayed, but I do feel it does show up the insidious and complex workings of the powerful players and their disregard for the people. We should look and learn, and open our eyes to the poison that is patriotism. War is power's answer to all its problems, but it is the people's blood that spills over the land.

It is worth viewing the complete film, to get a clearer picture of the history of Ukraine.

States Kill Freedom Of Thought.

Those who are aware of the machinations of the varies states, will accept that any movement to the left of the political spectrum will be seen as a threat to the establishment, the real state. That bunch of extremely rich and powerful parasites that control all aspects of our life, understand fully that a truly left organising  of society would be an end to their unearned privileges and power. The state will always wave the flag of democracy but will do all within its power to thwart any move to a left thinking population.
The hypocrisy of all states is astounding, they will trade insults at each other and condemn each other over human rights abuses, but will, behind the scenes, co-operate with these same states in silencing and destroying any move to the left in the thinking of their populations.
So the information released in recent US documents should come as no surprise. It is just another aspect of the undemocratic subterfuge of the so called "Western democracies", in their defence of the power, wealth and privilege of the parasites we carry on our backs.
This from Mint Press News:

 Western democracy at work.
SANTIAGO, CHILE — A recently declassified CIA document has revealed that members of the intelligence agencies of France, the United Kingdom and West Germany discussed how to establish “an anti-subversive organization similar to [the CIA’s Operation] Condor” in their own countries. Described by the CIA as “a cooperative effort by the intelligence/security services of several South American countries to combat terrorism and subversion,” Operation Condor was a campaign of state terrorism originally planned by the CIA that targeted leftists, suspected leftists and their “sympathizers” and resulted in the forced disappearances, torture and brutal murders of an estimated 60,000 people, as well as the political imprisonment of around half a million people. Around half of the estimated murders occurred in Argentina.
The document, released last Friday as part of a release of newly declassified U.S. government documents related to the U.S.-backed military dictatorship that ruled Argentina from 1976 to 1983, states that:
Representatives of West German, French and British intelligence services had visited the Condor organization secretariat in Buenos Aires during the month of September 1977 in order to discuss methods for establishment of an anti-subversion organization similar to Condor” due to their view that “the terrorist/subversive threat had reached such dangerous levels in Europe.”
The representatives from the three countries then stated that they felt that pooling “their intelligence resources in a cooperative organization such as Condor” would be an important way of combating the “subversive threat.” Notably, England at the time was already involved in an international “intelligence sharing” program known as ECHELON, a program between the “Five Eyes” intelligence pact between the U.K., the U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand that continues in a different form today.
The document, which was written in 1978, came two years after Operation Condor targeted left-wing Latin American exiles living in Europe. Several other documents in the recent release discuss a decision made by Condor member countries in May 1976 to train and send a military unit to “conduct physical attacks” against left-wing Latin American exiles and their supporters in France, in what was codenamed “Teseo.” Several Condor countries, aside from Brazil and Bolivia, were eager to participate and the training of the “Teseo” unit did occur, though the CIA was apparently unaware whether the unit was actually sent to France.

Operation Condor: Made in the West

European interest in bringing home a state-sponsored terror campaign may seem shocking, given Europe’s publicly stated concerns at the time regarding Condor member countries’ mind-boggling human rights abuses and state-sponsored murders. But it will hardly surprise those who have studied Operation Condor, as the operation itself was a Western invention that was imposed on Latin America through a series of military coups, which again were backed by Western governments.

Syria, The Compassionate Face Of Imperialism!!!

It can be taken as a truth, that all those involved in the bombing of Syria, do not have at heart, the well-being of the Syrian people. So many nations from across the globe, running in to help the Syrian people?? In this capitalist, imperialist world, it beggars belief. What the motives are for each of those nations involved is extremely difficult to get a handle on, one thing is sure, at the baseline, it is self interest. Who stands to gain what if this happens, who stands to lose what if that happens, is all very complicated if we don't have all the facts. As in all wars, truth and facts are casualties. There is no point looking to that babbling brook of bullshit, the mainstream media for clarity, they pedal illusion, wishful thinking and propaganda.
 Imperialist building blocks of democracy.
Counter-Punch, has an interesting article that helps to supply informative parts of the jigsaw, that is the Middle East, Syria in particular.
------As for Washington’s “strategy”, it now boils down to the CIA need of a new rat line. That could imply sitting on the – weaponized – sidelines watching Turkmen and Kurds slug it out, thus creating an opening for the Turkish Army to intervene, and the Russian Air Force to prevent it, with all hell guaranteed to break loose. ------

Tomorrow Is Ours.

The people of Chile have had brutality heaped on them for generations, from the CIA's, (Capitalism's Invisible Army) coup, that installed the butcher Pinochet, through the neo-liberal/free-market policies forced down the throats of the people by the American financial Mafia. However, like people the world over, they take only so much, and then they start to kick back. You will not find much about the struggle of the people of Chile in our babbling brook of bullshit, the mainstream media. No, they are much too pre-occupied with more important things such as royal babies, sporting spectaculars, and hyping up hate against those poor and vulnerable on benefits.
The struggle by the people in Chile is just one part of a growing world wide hatred of this insane system of exploitation of the majority, by the rich few. A growing awareness that we can change things, we have the power, and when we come together, we are unstoppable. This world belongs to us, from the bricks to the the mansions, from the bicycles to the cargo ships, we made them all, we can surely decide how we will use them.

Being Bitten By The Beast You Fed.

Analysis of what is going on in the Middle East will not be found in the babbling brook of bullshit that is our mainstream media, we have to look back at history. The West's hatred of anything Soviet, lead to the American imperialists handing a blank cheque to the CIA, with the explicit instructions for it to be pour that cash into support, training and funding any ragbag of nut case fundamentalist groups that would take a pop-shot at the Soviets in Afghanistan. Fast forward, through the bombing of Iraq and we arrive at ISlS, or IS, or ISIL, whatever label they wish, it is still the same fundamentalist religious nutters that the American imperialists deliberately created because of their psychopathic desire to control the world. Strange how things come back to bite you.

(Parenthetic digression: obviously the CIA didn't directly intend to train and arm these aforementioned dangerous assholes: if they'd known where it would all go they'd have been horrified. But in the 1980s they didn't have a clue about Qutbism, so they handed an open chequebook to ISI, who in turn doled out cash and guns to anyone who would inflict grief on the Soviets in Afghanistan, and perhaps if Zbignew Brzezinski's state department had been slightly more forward-looking and clear eyed they might have pondered where all these angry young men with leet bomb-making skillz were going to go once the Soviets were defeated ... but that's all water under the bridge. Or is it? One thing's certainly true: western governments' track record in picking proxies to fight their wars for them are generally so disastrous that it's almost as if they were looking for rabid dogs. Hmm, time to re-read Chomsky.)
And you know something else? If George W. Bush hadn't had such a raging hard-on for Saddam Hussein, if he hadn't railroaded everyone into invading Iraq, this needn't have happened. Al Qaida have grown into a full-scale scary government-shaped object with a revolutionary ideology because Bush created a power vacuum for them to expand into. (And Obama helped, by not actively propping up the weak Ba'athist regime in Syria — who are bastards, but at least they're not trying to destroy western civilization for a hobby.)
It is to weep. But we've made our bed and now I suppose we must drop bombs on it.

Torture, A Brutal Tool Of Their Trade.

We know every state does it, some more subtle, some more brutal, but they all have their methods. I'm talking about torture, it is a tool of the state and it will do everything in its power to hold onto it in one form or another. The more we expose it the more difficult it becomes for them, they have to work harder at justifying it, or concealing it, or devising new methods. Torture will continue until we rid ourselves of that shackle on our freedom, the state. That doesn't mean we should ignore torture until that day arrives, we have to expose it and campaign against it, when ever we get any information regarding torture. Never forget, it is a human being that is being tortured, no matter the name the state puts on that being, it may be an autocratic institution that sanctions the act, but it is also human beings that implement those actions.
This interesting article from Human Rights First:

The argument about whether torture works is still raging. Four years after President Obama ended the torture program, torture proponents continue to claim that torture saved American lives and was necessary to find criminals like Osama bin Laden. Just last week, Condoleezza Rice said that because of torture, “we have not had a successful attack on our territory.”
I served the CIA for 23 years, and I was directly involved in the “enhanced interrogation” program. I know from experience that torture not only undermined our values and Constitution, it made us less safe.
The Senate Intelligence Committee has produced the most comprehensive report on the post-9/11 CIA torture program, based on a review of more than 6 million pages of official records. Those who have read the report say that it shows the CIA torture program was much more widespread and cruel than we thought, and much less effective at gathering actionable intelligence than torture proponents claim.
However, the Obama Administration is sitting on this report and has delayed its release. On Friday, Vice President Biden supported the report's release. Ask President Obama to work with Congress to declassify the torture report.
Senator Dianne Feinstein, Chair of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, and national security experts (me included) have said publicly that torture did not lead to bin Laden or save American lives. But until this report is released, torture proponents will continue to argue that we should return to torture.
Let’s be clear: torture is un-American, illegal, and immoral. Let’s end this debate once and for all. Urge President Obama to work with Congress to declassify the torture report.
Sincerely,
Glenn Carle

A HIGH SCORE AT THE OFFICE TODAY??

The march of the robotic war continues at a rapid pace, mostly unobserved in the West but we are the harbingers of the peopleless army. Most people tend to see CCTV cameras as a benign watch on criminals, but they are all part and parcel of the surveillance and control by a central authority and that authority spreads across the globe. the latest stage is the surveillance drones and their big brother, the killer drones.
America has used drones to strike at and kill citizens in other countries, and since Obama came to power the use of drones as robotic assassins has grown enormously.  In Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia, the Obama administration is using drones to invade other nations sovereign territory and kill people by remote control in those countries, while no state of war exist with the U.S.. Some of those killed have been American citizens. No charges, no jury, no judge. Just a CIA hit list.
Once one state finds an efficient killing method others soon follow, now 50 countries have drones. Of course drones are not just being used to invade others soveriegn territory but are used as means of surveillance in their own home land. They have been used in the UK for this purpose and in the US, no doubt other countries are fllowing suit. The implications are horrendous, as country after country builds up its peopleless army of spies and assassins. Soon war will become a 9 to 5 office job, you'll have kids sitting in front of what looks like a game consul in some government office, getting excited as they see there hits score go higher and higher. No doubt there will be bonuses for the highest scorers. They will probably boast to their friends and family about their high score, oblivious that each score is the death of a family or a village, or even worse as the drones get larger and carry a heavier payload of destruction and death.
I wrote on this some time back and make no apologies for doing so again, it is a horror world we should not allow ourselves to sleepwalk into, it is a world that only suits the corporate state.

EX-CIA AGENT ON THE MIDDLE EAST.

An interesting interview with an ex-CIA agent. He seems to talk with a load of common sense and in a way that so many of the ordinary people with a little political savvy talk. Of course I don't think that he will get much cover in our mainstream press.

SHINING EXAMPLE OF WESTERN HYPOCRISY.

So Osama Bin Laden is dead, after 10 years of war, several trillion dollars and the destruction of a country, and already they are talking about “Bin Laden” model 2. I suppose it is a matter of the king is dead, long live the king. The headlines in The Sunday Times, May 8, US launches drone airstrike on 'new Bin Laden' in Yemen. So how many will there be, at 10 years a time this could be the 100 years war and at the same time bankrupt the world. How far down the chain of command will they go, perhaps some guy in some quiet corner of the world looking at an Islamic move could be targeted and then maybe his pal down the road, just in case.
Ten years and several trillion dollars to get rid of some guy the CIA trained, armed and funded to go out and fight the Russians. It seems like a very bad deal. Their little exercise in Afghanistan has left the country a far more dangerous place than ever it has been, plus they killed thousands of Afghan civilians in the process. This is how you bring democracy to the world, Western style.

The manner in which he was executed is being applauded by all and sundry in the West, yet when the the Israeli's assassinated Hamas co-founder, Abdel Aziz al-Rantissi in Gaza our former British foreign secretary, Jack Straw stated, “The British government has made it repeatedly clear that so-called 'targeted assassinations' of this kind are unlawful, unjustified and unproductive.” Come on Jack, let's hear it for Osama Bin Laden, and what's your view on the attempted assassination of Colonel Gaddafi?
Think of a world where any country can send a band of armed killers into any other country and execute anybody they feel has harmed their country. This is the ideology of the Western power mongers, the so called leaders of the “free world”, but woe betide anyone outside their little club how tries it in their country. When you're the big bully you don't need to bother with the rules, hypocrisy, the main ingredient in Western democracy.
