Crisis To Plan.

For some time now that babbling brook of bullshit, our mainstream media, has been vomiting bilge water and crap about the "Greek crisis", pouring festering sewage over anything the Greek people try to do to alleviate their situation. The theme is always, bad Greece, for not following the dictate of the financial Mafia and not punishing the people of Greece further for the greed of the banksters. It all makes it so glaringly obvious that people don't matter, democracy is an illusion, and the people can got to hell in a hand cart, as long as the financial Mafia can keep their corrupt house of cards standing. The Euro situation is unsustainable and is kept alive by each paying the other to pay them back what they owe, shuffling money between indebted institutions and printing trillions of Euros to paper over the cracks.
However we should be under no illusions, what is happening in Greece, is not a one-of crisis, it is a formula that will be applied to any country that tries to tell the the financial Mafia that their system is fucked and is unsustainable. It will be the method to bring any government into line, that in any way threatens the financial Mafia's monopoly of power over people. The moment people start to take control to shape their country, it is seen as a nail in the coffin of the power of the financial Mafia, and will be crushed. They will push the Greek government and people to chaos and destruction, and from the troubled times, engineer a right wing government that will willing sign up to the Financial Mafia's terms, and the illusion can continue.
The photo is a rare gem of truth from a member of that babbling brook of bullshit, the Metro.

TTIP Is Still There.

TTIP still growls away in the dark corridors of power, its proponents wheeling and dealing, slicing and dicing, between themselves and the corrupt politicians. We can only expect them to come up with a plan that will allow the corporate juggernaut roll mercilessly over any illusion of democracy that still remains.
There will be an international campaign of action on April 25th. Across Europe people will be coming together to voice their opposition to this attempt to cement corporatism on to our backs, giving the corporate bosses full control over any legislation that they may consider to be harmful to their profits.
On Saturday 18 April people across the world will be protesting against “free trade” deals that are undermining our democracy. In Europe people will be taking part in 100s of actions to stop TTIP, the “trade” deal between the EU and the US.

With the election coming up in May it is important that we make sure TTIP is on the agenda. People are organising exciting actions across the UK to raise awareness about TTIP and stop this corporate grab of our democracy.

You can find out about existing actions or organise your own on our website.

People are standing up to “free trade” deals globally. If we stand together, we can defeat these assaults on our democracy. Please join us to protest on 18 April.
Best wishes,
Guy Taylor
Trade campaigner at Global Justice Now
Already the tobacco giant Philip Morris is suing Uruguay for having some of the best anti-smoking laws in the world, and there’s a good chance it could win, unless we strengthen the fight in court.

The Mask Is Slipping.

The following is an extract taken from a post on the Anarchist Federation Scotland site. I believe it is well worth being read as widely as possible and repeated in as many places as possible. It allows us to see the real face behind the mask of the so called "democratic" state. Here in the UK the mask hasn't quite slipped, but we have had glimpses of that vile face of greed and repression that lurks just out of sight, and should be aware that the mask will come off and we will have, what I refer to as "bare-knuckle" capitalism, similar to what the people of Greece are experiencing at present. A dying beast can be a dangerous beast.
------The financial surplus that would buy off the people, then, no longer existed and the state was failing to maintain control through propaganda.  So instead its mask slipped and it began using all of its violent repression methods against all rebellious social spaces. It was more than obvious that from this stage on any form of resistance would be made illegal and repressed.  The main receiver of the state’s violent repression was of course the anarchist movement, as an example of what would happen to anyone that was willing to question the established oppressive system. The incidents of the massive state repression against the anarchist movement in Greece are innumerable.

Current developments
The social war in Greece is now at its peak and the once ‘democratic’ state has stopped pretending and been transformed into a totalitarian regime that has as its only purpose to establish the regime necessary in neoliberal conditions for the local and foreign capitalist to exploit in the maximum possible level the social wealth and the people of Greece. A full analysis of the repressive violent attacks of the state to the movement would probably need a lot of pages starting from the new established legislation that label terrorist any form of political action that the authoritarians don’t like – even a political document that questions the capitalist structures can with the new legislation be considered as act of terrorism - to the countless attacks on squats and protests that have led to the imprisonment of hundreds comrades. Such an organised and massive attack towards a social movement hasn’t been seen before in a ‘democratic’ state, let us mention that only in the last few months the state has attacked more than ten anarchist squats and dozens of comrades have been imprisoned.------

BARE KNUCKLE CAPITALISM.

Western governments have now disposed of the thin smoke of the illusion of democracy, as they power through legislation that decimates the living standards of the ordinary people, in order to stuff the banks with money, (liquidity). They proceed with ideological measures that never appeared in any election manifesto, if they had appeared in writing, they would never have been voted into power.
With one fell swoop, the Greek government has banned ALL public gatherings, in Athens and Athens Airport, on Tuesday, the day of Angela Merkel's visit. At least they realise the anger of the people. They have also made "preemptive" arrests, never mind, "innocent until proved guilty" and all that.

Greek police bans all gatherings and protests during Angela Merkel’s visit to Athens

In an unprecedented move, greek police has just announced a ban of all gatherings and protests in the wider centre of Athens plus the city’s airport and the main thoroughfares to it. According to the decision, the only areas excluded are Omonoia and Syntagma square. The ban will run from 9am to 10pm on Tuesday, 9th of October.
At the same time, police announced that will carry out preemptive detains today.

18 members of Public Electricity Company’s workers union were arrested for occupying the centre of informatics of the company

Last night 18 members of the Public Company of Electricity  workers union were arrested. The union members occupied the informatics centre of the company in order to protest to the plans to privatize the company. But they also wanted to gain information about very big businesses with close political tights which were not charged the special property tax that was enforced to the citizens, leading to poor people having their home’s power supply cut off. A couple of hours after the occupation, riot police raided the building and arrested them all.
I call it corporate fascism, dressed up as bare knuckle capitalism.

THE DYING ILLUSION OF DEMOCRACY.

Next month sees the culmination of the carnival of rich liars, otherwise known as the American Presidential elections. Millions will turn up and make their mark in favour of tweedle-dee or teedle-dum and things will roll on as usual. The rich will bask in the sun, in a lush cherry orchard surrounded by a fine wine lake, while the rest of the public will grind out a living as best they can as the pampered parsites continue to plunder the public purse. It is a process that has gone on for hundreds of years and rich get richer and the poor get poorer, but still the system is accepted by those same poor. Though I do believe that this latest world wide savage attack on the living standards of the ordinary people, is causing more and more to wake up to the fact that they are being conned. More and more people are looking for an alternative way of structuring our society, away from the parasite millionaire elitism that dominates and bleeds us dry.
THERE WILL COME A TIME.

There will come a time when the hordes remember,
who bound our grand-parents to the yoke of oppression,
who sentenced our parents to deprivation,
who bid poverty sink its teeth into our heart,
who teach our children, greed is a noble art.
Who sent our sons through the gates of hell
to a litany of cambist brawls,
crammed coffers with blood-stained gold
while laughing in Ares' halls.
"Who does these terrible things to us?" they will ask,
and when they remember,
they'll bring an energy that is endless
to drive a fist that is fearless.
Then this merciless market-driven world will crumble
under an insurrection of integrity,
the poor will emerge from the dark husk of capitalism
to live in the light of social justice.
There will come a time when the hordes remember.

The following is from America but equally applies to any country, as the stench of putrid capitalism chokes the lungs of freedom across the planet. Let's hope that this time they take their occupation to the next step and occupy everything and taking control of their communities and their lives.

WHEN: Starts at 5 PM Saturday, October 13th (the first anniversary of Occupy Chapel Hill) WHERE: Peace and Justice Plaza, Chapel Hill, NC
WHO:
Anyone who wants to change their world directly, instead of through the narrow choices and occasional elections of democracy
Anyone who doesn't trust another batch of politicians to fix the mess that the last batch of politicians started
Anyone let down by Obama's false hope
Anyone sick of choosing a "lesser" evil
Anyone who knows politicians just serve the rich

WHY:
The November election is coming. It doesn't matter. The amount of issues Obama and Romney differ on is nothing compared to what they agree on: unparalleled military domination; a growing prison system, the largest in the world, whose racist policies maintain the white supremacy this country was founded on; earth destroying resource extraction; a capitalist economy that rewards ruthless competition without concern for human cost. Under Bush, the nascent Obama generation could imagine that a new personality in the White House could change the problems the last politician piloted us into. And a new politician realized the shifting calculus, promising us false hope and false change. But after the failure of that experiment, we can be sure that the problem isn't personal, it is systemic. No matter who comes along, voting will never get us out from under our rulers.
This country is obsessed with voting to an unhealthy degree. Most people don't even vote, but it seems to be the only way anyone can think of changing their world. But voting is not an expression of our power; it only demonstrates our powerlessness: it is an admission that we can only approach the resources and capabilities of our own society through the mediation of an elite, ruling class. When we let candidates prefabricate options for us, we relinquish control of our world and abdicate our agency in shaping it. Real power can never be delegated, nor lived through anyone else. Real power means individual and collective self-determination--our ability to decide for ourselves how we're going to live every day of our lives--not settling between two unsatisfying and irrelevant choices every four years.
On the one year anniversary of Occupy Chapel Hill, come demonstrate that people power will always be in conflict with with the interests of the ruling class, be they elected or not.

THE SHATTERED ILLUSION OF DEMOCRACY.

As the Greek people pause for a breath, the corporate fascists are not content with sacrificing the Greek people on the alter of financial greed, having demolished the illusion of democracy in that country they are now set on ensuring that there will be no democracy for the Greek people for the foreseeable future. The IMF (International Mankind Fuckers) having got the agreement it wanted from their henchman in charge of the Greek parliament, they now want it signed in blood, so as to prevent any change to the agreement after the April elections. What that means is that the Greek political parties can't go to the electorate with a manifesto of any form of change, they must promise to carry on with the IMF manifesto of looting the public purse to the benefit of the corporate fascists. This makes the elections a bigger farce than usual, they will not be able to offer the promise of anything different than the IMF have decreed. What are the elections for? Merely to bring in some new administrators of the IMF policies. Who controls Greece, if not the people, then it is the despots of the corporate fascists sitting in their marble halls thousands of miles from Athens. We in other countries should not feel complacent, the same corporate fascists control the developed world, how hard they will hit you will depend on how much the need to, to protect their wealth and power.

DON'T BELIEVE THE LABEL - CHECK THE CONTENTS.

While our millionaire class protect their wealth by hacking at the social fabric of our society, their puppets keep taking centre stage to tell us how difficult it is going to be. Of course they don't mean difficult for them, they mean difficult for us, the ordinary people. As far as they are concerned there will be no change in their lifestyle, no worries about holidays, mortgages, heating the house or the kids food. That sort of triviality is for us the peasants. We have Tom and Jerry, sorry, Merkel and Sarkozy telling us that 2012 will be worse than 2011, while their Italian fellow conspirator Giorgio Napolitano, saying that there will have to be sacrifices. This Italian puppet of the bond market, stated, “Sacrifices are necessary to ensure the future of our young people ---”. What he fails to mention is that the future of a generation of our young people has already been sacrificed because of the policies of his financial Mafia. The financial conditions in our society are not something that just happened and therefore we just have to get on with it. They are the result of deliberate policies of the powerful financial Mafia that controls the political apparatus of the developed world. The political class of this capitalist system are the puppets and implementers of that Mafia's policies. If there is anybody out there who still believes that we have democracy in the developed world they should take a look at what the various political parties offer, it is all a cruel illusion. They all offer the same package, they may vary in colour, pace and degree, but it is a package that favours the multimillionaires/billionaires of the financial world. All the parties advocate policies that will guarantee that the bond markets don't lose out. The well being of the population is secondary to the financial well being of that cabal of multimillionaires/billionaires. What we have is a system whereby a small privileged group of extremely wealthy individuals, by means of that wealth, control the political and business structures of the developed world. No matter how you dress it up and what trimmings you hang on it, such as periodic elections for the masses, it doesn't alter the structure nor its power base. The power and policies are the prerogative of that small cabal. The so called, elected governments, merely give those policies the stamp of legitimacy and implement them on behave of the financial cabal.

The label says “democracy” but the jar contains “fascism”.

USA, - MILITARY DICTATORSHIP!!

Some time today the America Congress will vote on a bill that will increase military control in that country. The legislation would allow the military to arrest and detain indefinitely, without charge, any American citizen it deemed to be a danger to the country. This dictatorship type legislation would circumvent the FBI and other civil law enforcement agencies. If this passes, it will be the final proof that there is no such thing in America, as even a sham of democracy. The state usually justifies such legislation in time of national emergency and war, of course, America is permanently at war, as are all Western capitalist "democracies" so perhaps that is their thinking. What we should be aware of is that if America introduces such legislation you can rest assured the rest of the Western countries will be looking at it with interest. We live under what at best can only be called the illusion of democracy. The brutal slashing of the living standards of most of the people in the developed world, against their wishes, is proof enough of that.

As early as today Congress will vote on the final version of this dangerous defense bill. It then goes to President Obama. This bill threatens both U.S. national security and fundamental American ideals. It would:
  • greatly expand the military's role in domestic counterterrorism, sidelining the FBI and local law enforcement;
  • authorize the indefinite detention without trial of terrorism suspects, including American citizens; and
  • effectively make Guantanamo a permanent prison.
President Obama promised to veto the bill if the final version contained these provisions. Tell President Obama on Twitter to protect our national security and our rights with a veto of the NDAA.
The Secretary of Defense, the Director of National Intelligence, the Director of the FBI, and Obama's Counterterrorism Advisor have publicly expressed opposition to the bill, as have 16 former interrogators and counterterrorism professionals and 26 of the nation's most respected retired military leaders.
Retired four-star Marine Generals Charles C. Krulak and Joseph P. Hoar wrote in a New York Times op-ed that "this budget bill—which can be vetoed without cutting financing for our troops—is both misguided and unnecessary: the president already has the power and flexibility to effectively fight terrorism."

GOLDMAN SACHS, RULER OF EUROPE!!!

I have often spouted about the financial coup in Europe. That illusion, our so called democracy, has been replaced by an unelected leader in two European countries, first Greece and then Italy, and in both cases the new "leaders" are referred to as technocrats. As far as Europe is concerned, Greece is a small fry economy, never the less, its elected government was removed because the Prime Minister had the audacity to suggest a referendum on the country's finances, Italy, on the other hand is a major player in the European economic league and it is significant that in the later case it is a Goldman Sachs man that has taken the reins. Goldman Sachs stand to go belly-up if the major countries in Europe default on their sovereign debt, So that can't be allowed to happen, the public will be screwed as every penny of public spending will be re-directed towards the national “deficit”, that must be paid or Goldman Sachs is no more, and with the power they wield over the political classes, they will make sure it is paid. Getting rid of the elected government when there is a risk of them not throwing the taxpayers money at the deficit fast enough, is just the natural step for them, we can expect more Goldman Sachs coups in Europe as the sovereign debt crisis deepens.

You don't need elections -- I'm a technocrat.

You'll find a more detailed explanation than my personal rant, HERE. A short extract follows.
The ascension of Mario Monti to the Italian prime ministership is remarkable for more reasons than it is possible to count. By replacing the scandal-surfing Silvio Berlusconi, Italy has dislodged the undislodgeable. By imposing rule by unelected technocrats, it has suspended the normal rules of democracy, and maybe democracy itself. And by putting a senior adviser at Goldman Sachs in charge of a Western nation, it has taken to new heights the political power of an investment bank that you might have thought was prohibitively politically toxic.
