Financial Mafia's World Wide Slavery.

We all know that policies such as Workfare, and Work Related Activity Group, create slave labour, misery and stress, and this is aggravated by sanctions. People point the finger at the Cameron Cabal, as if this was their creation and if we could just get rid of that bunch of Oxbridge parasites, it would all be better. What we should realise is that these policies are not indigenous to the UK, the Cameron Cabal don't have the brains to think up such devious ways of getting the corporate wage bills down, they merely follow the instructions of the financial Mafia. These policies are taking place in other countries.

Some Pas Forgione quotes from Australia:
The federal government has plans to expand Work for the Dole. From July next year it will be compulsory for job-seekers aged 18-30 to do 25 hours of work a week.
In the same week that employment minister Eric Abetz announced the government would expand Work for the Dole to all job seekers under 50 and that job seekers would have to apply for double the number of jobs than previously, billionaire miner Andrew Forrest released his own recommendations for welfare reform — some of the most punitive ever proposed.
The federal government is considering a proposal to force young unemployed people into strict military-style boot camps. The plan is an inadequate, simplistic response to the complex problem of youth unemployment. The fact that Labor is seriously exploring the scheme is another indication of how increasingly right-wing the party has become on welfare policy.
The proposal, promoted as a “possible vote winner” to be announced before the upcoming election, would force early school leavers aged 15 to 21 into tough, hard-line boot camps, though precise details remain sketchy.

So it is not our little bunch of Oxbridge millionaire parasites that are responsible for the misery and exploitation heaped on us, it is the world wide system of the festering marriage of capitalism and state. The shape of our society and the quality of our lives are decided in the grand marble halls of the faceless financial Mafia. Until we, across the globe, sort out that mob, our lives will continue down the spiral of exploitation and poverty.

Local Politics Is Global Politics.

As we vent our anger at the Cameron millionaire cabal, about the “austerity” ideology being forced onto us, we should realise that this attack on the ordinary people is not a UK phenomenon. There is no use looking to one of the other parties of puppets of the financial Mafia, to set things right for us. This is a well co-ordinated, world wide assault on the conditions of the ordinary people. The financial Mafia is organised across the globe, and running to a ballot box, here in the UK, to change the smiling suit that sits on the throne of the Westminster Houses of Hypocrisy and Corruption, will change nothing. The policies in country after country across the planet, mirror each other, no matter the shade of the political party in power.
Our real enemy is capitalism, we are just experiencing its latest phase, global corporatism, and we should realise that it can only be beaten on a global scale. They are well organised globally, and can only be beaten by us being similarly globally organised. It may look like local politics, ATOS, the bedroom tax etc. but these policies are shaded and moulded to fit every country. It is the system that stinks, the politicians are merely the managers of that stinking system. Welcome to Australia's bedroom tax.

Just A Mirror Of America

January 26 was Australia Day, when the colonial power raised its flag and pompously paraded as if Australia was an empty land found by the imperialists of the West. The parade showed no hint of the bloodshed, plundering, genocide ethnic cleansing and slavery that is the foundation of Australia.
This article from Socialism Or Your Money Back helps to put that in perspective.
The imperial wars and massacres (guns vs spears) such as those at Hawksbury, Nepean Richmond Hill, Risdon Cove, Appin, Bathurst, Port Phillip, Swan River (Battle of Pinjarra), Gravesend, Vinegar Hill, Myall Creek, Kinroy, Rufus R, Long lagoon, Dawson River, Kalkadoon, Cape Grim, the Black war, McKinley River, and West Kimberely were resisted by Aboriginal warriors like Pemulwuy, Winradyne, Multuggerah, Yagan, and Jandamarra. These wars, along with starvation and Western diseases decimated the dispossessed Aboriginal population to about 70,000 by 1920.
Australia's First Peoples were marginalised onto reservations and missions, restricted entry into white towns, exploited as unpaid slave labour, their indigenous languages and sacred rituals forbidden, and mixed blood children (The Stolen Generations) were forcibly kidnapped from their parents for resocialisation - ie to be made "white". Until the 1967 referendum in Australia, Aborigines were government property: "The right to choose a marriage partner, to be legally responsible for one's own children, to move about the state and to socialise with non-Aboriginal Australians, were just some of the rights which Aboriginal people did not have."

THE WEAVING OF ILLUSIONS AND MYTHS.

Something this capitalist society always tries to conceal is that opportunities to "climb the ladder" social mobility, as it is called,, is vastly enhanced the higher up the ladder you are born. Conversely, the lower you are born the more difficult it will be to move off the rung you started from. In this type of society, wealth is not just comfort, it is privileges and opportunities, it is the gateway to more wealth, privileges and opportunities. However the myth that is perpetuated is that the world is filled with self made men/women who reached the dizzy heights of wealth, privilege and power all by their own effort and hard work. The truth being that most people in this world work very hard all their lives just to survive and never end up rich.
-------Every political system requires a justifying myth. The Soviet Union had Alexey Stakhanov, the miner reputed to have extracted 100 tonnes of coal in six hours. The US had Richard Hunter, the hero of Horatio Alger's rags-to-riches tales.
Both stories contained a germ of truth. Stakhanov worked hard for a cause in which he believed, but his output was probably faked. When Alger wrote his novels, some poor people had become very rich in the US. But the further from its ideals (productivity in the Soviet Union, opportunity in the US) a system strays, the more fervently its justifying myths are propounded."There is no monopoly on becoming a millionaire" ...
As the developed nations succumb to extreme inequality and social immobility, the myth of the self-made man becomes ever more potent. It is used to justify its polar opposite: an unassailable rent-seeking class, deploying its inherited money to finance the seizure of other people's wealth.

A WORLD WIDE EPIDEMIC.

Police in Milwaukee arrest and beat up a 22 year old man and the world now has a horrific video of a young man dying in the back of a police car. In Tunisia police rape a young woman and when she files a complaint, she is charged with indecency. 28-year-old Raul Rosas was tasered, hogtied and finally drowned with a garden hose in front of his minor children and numerous witnesses. Police use baton charges and rubber bullets against demonstrators in Madrid. From Australia, A 'WIDE culture of police violence' needs to be investigated by the new head of the Crime and Misconduct Commission 'as his major priority'. Then there is, Incredible Police's brutality in France. Police violence in Greece is not limited to "isolated incidents" and officers violating human rights can expect "persistent impunity", the world's leading human rights organisation has said.

Pick your country and you come up with police brutality, and it is invariably carried out with impunity and against the ordinary people of the country concerned. The police's first duty is to defend those in power, so any organised resistance to that power, will be dealt with in a brutal fashion, and to maintain that element of "toughness", the brutality will be used against individuals to intimidate and subdue resistance and create an element of fear in those who might wish to object to what the state is up to. The illusion that the police are there to protect the general public is perpetuated  by an avalanche of corporate propaganda through movies, TV "cops and robbers" shows, and newspaper articles portraying the police as clean-cut heroes. However there is an endless catalogue of death at the hands of the police and police brutality, which belies this propaganda exercise, and which will always go unchecked as the state needs its bully boys. So, until we get rid of the state, police brutality will be with us.

THE FORGOTTEN PALESTINIANS.

An interesting and informative talk on the Israeli state's treatment of Palestinians, given by Ilan Pappe Israeli historian.
This from Green Left TV:

September 16, 2012 -- Green Left TV -- Celebrated Israeli historian Ilan Pappe, whose landmark publication The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine documented the removal of 700,000 Palestinians from their lands in 1948, has written a new book, The Forgotten Palestinians.
In the book and at his September 16, 2012, community meeting at Sydney University above, Pappe reveals the situation for Palestinians who still live within Israel's borders.
The meeting was the first event of Pappe's 2012 Australian lecture tour. It was hosted by the Sydney Peace Foundation with the Coalition for Justice and Peace in Palestine and Leichhardt Friends of Hebron. Pappe was in Australia to deliver the annual Edward Said Memorial Lecture at the University of Adelaide.

WHO WOULD EAT A DOMINO PIZZA??

Following on from a previous post  Anarchist Domino Drivers, this dispute is still on going and needs support and solidarity.
Dear friends:
The Workers Solidarity Alliance (WSA), in solidarity with the Australian General Transport Workers Association and the Anarcho-Syndicalist Federation-IWA, is appealing to you and your members to support the delivery drivers employed by Domino's Pizza Enterprises in Australia.
The Domino's drivers have been engaged in a dispute with management since 9th of April. The key issue in this struggle has been an overnight 19% wage reduction. Meanwhile, the drivers have been sold out by their current union, the SDA, which has done nothing to fight the cuts. The GTWA and the ASF-IWA are calling for an International Day of Solidarity with the Domino's Drivers on Saturday, September 15, 2012.
The aim of the Day is to alert Domino's management that workers and members of the community in North America and elsewhere stand in solidarity with the Australian delivery drivers in their struggle against the wage cut and in support of their right to organize under the banner of the General Transport Workers Association (GTWA). The GWTA Facebook page can be viewed here:
http://www.facebook.com/GeneralTransportWorkersAssociation
The Australian friends are asking that folks engage in informational picketing, informational leafleting and other peaceful activities aimed at informing local management and workers about the Australian dispute. It is hoped that the local stores will report to corporate headquarters about the informational activities and this would put pressure on the company.
The goal is informational actions with the main point to have Domino's restore the 19% wage reduction and recognize the GWTA as the drivers union. Please contact us if you are interested in participating with us in a coordinated effort to support the Brisbane and Adelaide drivers. We can be reached at: dominosworkersolidarity@gmail.com
We look forward to your positive reply and cooperatively working together to make this Domino's Drivers Solidarity Day a success here in North America.
Yours in solidarity,
Workers Solidarity Alliance

THE HETHERINGTON, AUSTRALIA STYLE.

No matter where you go, the plan is austerity cuts. Cuts in education, health, social services are the norm across this corporate capitalist world. We in Europe are told it is a problem with the Euro, but in America and else where, the financial Mafia are still pulling the strings and that means cuts to all social spending. This little story is from Australia, which if you read the babbling brook of bullshit, the media, Australia is doing fine, and is not in recession. Of course that doesn't mean that they are exempt from the financial Mafia's world wide plan of "austerity cuts". This could be Glasgow University's Hetherington, Australian style.

ABC News: Latrobe University students were protesting against funding and job cuts at the humanities faculty during Open Day at the university’s Bundoora campus.
The student union claims the university plans to axe 41 staff and 500 subjects. But as Professor John Dewar was talking to the media, marching students rounded a corner towards him. When they spotted the university head, the protesters chased him into a building and up through a corridor, where he was protected and surrounded by security and staff. Professor Dewar was jostled by the crowd of protesters before staff and security could whisk him away into a nearby room. Students thought they had him holed up as they chanted: “Come out John” and formed a barricade. But Mr Dewar was able to escape the situation by using the university’s underground tunnel network, and was guided back to his office.

POLICE BRUTALITY.

Just a little reminder that police brutality is world wide. That the police are there to protect the public and bring criminals to justice, probably is the biggest act of smoke and mirrors performed by the state and reinforced by its mouthpiece, that babbling brook of bullshit, the mainstream media. We should never forget, the real purpose for the police is to protect the wealth and power of the establishment, and as conditions worsen and unrest grows among the ordinary people it will become even more obvious where the police stand. So be prepared.

IT'S SCOTLAND'S CROOKS AND LIARS SEASON.

It is about a month to the Scottish local elections, that mini-farce, the small-fry competition of Crooks and Liars. The big national competition of Crooks and Liars, where the Oxbridge brigade of millionaires run around the country telling us how they really care for us ordinary peasant, is still some way off. However we should enjoy this local theatre production of Crooks and Liars and have some fun. We could turn up at their performances and have a good laugh and expose it for the smoke and mirrors illusion that know it to be. We could also spend the month in a concerted effort to reveal the hypocrisy, corruption and self serving reality of the Crooks and Liars competition they call elections.

In the lead up to the Queensland State Election on March 24, a group of Brisbane Anarchists launched an anti-election campaign. In the week prior to the election, anarchists began pasting up a couple of thousand anti politician and anti voting posters all throughout the city. Political party placards erected throughout Brisbane were torn down or defaced with anarchist and anti politician messages. Anti-voting and anarchist graffiti was scrawled and sprayed across walls, billboards, electricity boxes and telephone booths.

A banner reading "Vote 4 Nobody" was dropped over a railway bridge in Bowen Hills, where it hung for 3 days, before we reclaimed it at dawn of election day and hung it off a platform made of scaffolding in Highgate Hill, in preparation for Nobody to declare victory.
As the polling booths opened at 8am, a number of anarchists defaced the all party advertising on display at 3 different polling locations, as well as stealing propaganda, party buttons, and "how to Vote" pamphlets from various party tables.

After fleeing the polling booths, leaving a general mess behind them, other anarchists then began handing out anti voting leaflets and zines explaining Direct Action and Self-Organisation as a counterpoint to the pointless pathology of casting a ballot every few years for someone you know is lying to you.
