"We Live In A Democracy", "We Live In A democracy".

Once again we see British democracy at work. Very important issues are debated in The Westminster Houses of Hypocrisy and Corruption, a vote is taken, then the government, our representatives in power, makes its decision on that matter, based on the outcome of that vote. Well that's the theory, the fairy tale that is handed out to the public. The reality is that decisions are driven by dogma, aided and abetted by lobbyists from the financial and corporate worlds, and decided behind closed doors.
What could be more important than nuclear weapons, this is a subject with massive destructive consequences not just for us here in the UK, but across the world. Surely this must be debated, well it is to be debated. The various factions are lining up to spout their mantras, but to what purpose? On this matter of universal importance the debate will take place, but the decision has already been taken. It appears that while the opposition is preparing their argument on the immorality of such weapons and the astronomical cost, our democratic government has already set the ball rolling with the renewal of the Trident nuclear weapons system, with a spend figure of an extra £640 million.
It appears that Michael Fallon, will take the opportunity of the Scottish Conservative Party conference in Edinburgh today, to announce that the trident renewal program is already under way and on the back of this, the government is pouring in an extra £640 million to the arms industry's coffers. Of course the debate as to whether to renew the trident system or not, will still go ahead, after all that's how democracy works.
Don't for one minute think that the £640 million is any way near the cost of this government phallus symbol, the real cost of this imperialist thug's toy is hundreds of hospitals, and schools, thousands of teachers and nurses, improvements to social services and lots more. It is in effect in excess of £167 billion. All that being gifted to the arms industry, by their Bullingdon Club friend, our millionaire chancellor of the exchequer, while he is threatening more severe cuts to social services in the coming year.
Now repeat after me, “We live in a democracy”, “We live in a democracy”. Just keep saying it, and if you're foolish enough, you may well come to believe it.

Let's Really Clean The Country.

What a load of insulting crap we are being hit with, suicides are increasing because of poverty and deprivation, homelessness is increasing, benefit sanctions devastate families and individuals, workfare humiliates people by forcing them into slave labour for greedy businesses, zero hour contracts, add stress to individuals and families, as they don't know how much money they'll get at the end of the month. Our social services are being shredded, and that millionaire product of the Oxbridge sausage factory, Osborne, tells us we will be faced with more severe cuts in the coming year. All this heaped on the lives of the ordinary people and what campaign do our millionaire lords and masters launch? CLEAN FOR THE QUEEN!!!! Our right royal leader of parasites, Lizzie, is reaching her 90th birthday, and to mark this occasion, which I'm sure will benefit us all, her band of loyal millionaire parasites want us to rush out and sweep our pavements, wash down the lamp-posts and clean the street signs. Get out there with your rubber gloves and gather the dog shit and plastic crap, spend your ample leisure hours, I'm sure you have plenty, zero hours and part-time work, etc. to gather all that motley mess of consumer life style crap, so that Britain will look like a new pin when that magic hour arrives on Lizzie's 90th birthday.  Then perhaps we can pay-off all those workers that do that sort of work for a living.
He doesn't even clean his own house.
I have no doubt there will be some lame brain idiots that will fall in line with this insulting phoney publicity gesture, perhaps hoping to get their picture in the papers or on the tele, or perhaps even to get on the "honours list".
We could clean up our country, we could start with clearing out that filthy cesspool, that edifice to British imperialism, The Westminster House of Hypocrisy and Corruption. Then we could go on to clean out all those corporate boardrooms that perpetuate this system of greed that feeds the parasites. Finally, we could clean out that massive, publicly funded oversized residence  called Buckingham Palace, and take Lizzie and her parasitical family of benefit scroungers and re-house them in some more suitable accommodation, and end this symbol of privilege for the chosen few. Though I do agree that re-housing that family may prove difficult as most people in the schemes would object to such a large bunch of useless benefit scroungers being housed in their area.
This dangerous arsehole, likewise, doesn't even clean his own house.

WE ARE BEING SUCKERED.

In 2008 we had the so called financial crash, here we are in 2013 and the November unemployment figures for the Eurozone hit a new all time high at 11.8%, youth unemployment at 14.4%, while for the whole of the European Union it is 10.7%, and youth unemployment is 23.7%. This translates into more than 26 million people unemployed across the EU. struggling to survive, not that those in work are doing that much better. According to the BBC's World Service Economic correspondent, Andrew Walker, “---- The general trend however remains upwards and it makes it even harder for the governments concerned to collect the taxes they need to stabilise their debts”
These figures are modest by the figures in some individual European countries, Spain leading the charge with 26.6% and Greece following with 20%. The misery heaped on the young of these two countries alone, is an indictment of the capitalist system. Greece has the worst unemployment amongst the young with 57% and Spain next with 56.5% . More than half of the young population of both these countries mired in poverty and their entire life potential being stunted. That's the system we are expected to embrace.
Of course unemployment is not an accident, it is not unavoidable, it is the direct result of government policies as they follow the instructions of the financial Mafia. Unemployment is the ugly side of that polite phrase, “structural reform” unemployment is the criminal reality of the innocent sounding “austerity cuts”. Both these phrases come together as the cornerstone of the Western corporate world's drive to become “more competitive.”, another innocent sounding phrase with a dire reality. It in fact means, lower wages, unregulated labour and a pool of unemployment. In other words, a European-wide sweatshop economy to compete with the sweatshops of the East.
                                      These are hard times.

Here in the UK, under the direction of the ConDem coalition of pampered parasites, 2013 will be the year that all that talking of “austerity cuts”, starts to impact with a vengeance on the lives of most of us ordinary people. It will be the year that people will begin to realise that cuts are usually followed by bleeding. Our cuts are severe, expect severe bleeding. Meanwhile our millionaire lords and masters, living the pampered life of useless parasites, will attempt to shed a theatrical tear as they tell us how hard things are and how we will all have to do “our bit” and “we are all in this together”. They will then retreat to their mansions and prepare for a break in their Bermuda holiday home. They call it capitalism, don't you feel like a sucker?

SAME OLD SAME OLD.

I find it amazing that as our lords and masters inflict more and more "austerity" on us a vast majority of the general public think this is something new. Somehow there are those out there under the impression that somehow the system has hit a glitch and our millionaire friends in the cabinet have had to take very unusual action. They seem to see what is happening as something temporary and want things to get back to "normal". Well history tells us, this is "normal" nothing has changed, it is all a matter of degree, wealth has always flowed upwards to the leeches and parasites that sit on our backs. It is just that at the present time it has accelerated considerably. If we look at history, even this acceleration is not new.
After the first world war we the ordinary people were, as usual, in shitsville, with high unemployment, poverty and deprivation, industrial relations were in turmoil. In 1922, our then lords and masters, in order to resolve the problem,  decided to commission a report, which when produced was known as the Geddes report. Its recommendations were in line with the usual answers from the Leeches Legion. It recommended heavy cuts in education, public health and workers' benefits, sound familiar? We all know that four years later, 1926, Britain workers were involved in the general strike. Must we wait another four years?

MISERY NOW FOR PIE IN THE SKY, IN THE BYE AND BYE.

Unrest and anger spreads and intensifies across Greece as more "austerity cuts" are on the cards. More cuts to people's pensions, workers not having been paid for six months, and so it goes on, and all this is for the benefit of the Greek people, or so the people are being told. They are being asked to meekly accept abject poverty, deprivation and misery, all for their own good!!! They are being told that their country will have to sell off all the assets owned by the people, so that their government can pay the financial Mafia billions of Euros, and things will all come right in the bye and bye. Spain, Italy, Portugal and Ireland are not far behind, and yet there are those that still believe the problem will be contained, that the system will be fixed, and we will all get back to growth and eternal prosperity. What is being plundered from the public purse will never come back. If you believe that all those billions of Euros poured into the coffers of the financial Mafia will somehow find their way back to the public purse and create a decent society for all the people, then you are more stupid than naive.
The way that the system works now is that it is a downward spiral for the people, and a financial vacuum cleaner for the financial Mafia. Why should they hand it all back to make your life and my life better? If they can have you scrambling about in the gutter, fighting each other for the few jobs around and willing to accept whatever wage they decide to pay you, then they are doing fine. Perhaps you see corporate capitalism as a compassionate beast that at the moment has some problems, but a soon as it sorts them out it will start to reward you for your patience and suffering, Dream on my friend.

P0LITE LANGUAGE - BRUTAL RESULTS.

What does "austerity cuts" really mean. We here in the UK still haven't yet had our full dose of financial Mafia medicine. there is more coming down the pipeline. If you want to see what is in store for you just look across at Greece. There they have seen their education system disintegrate, schools with no books, etc. their health service devastated, hospitals and clinics closing, running short on medicines, unemployment stratospheric, with all that, that entails. So it goes on, a sea of human suffering, misery and deprivation, all summed up in those nice sounding words, "austerity cuts".
Our shiny millionaire politicians along with the media, (the babbling brook of bullshit), are forever pouring out those nice sounding euphemisms. "Wage freeze" translates into possible malnutrition, foreclosure, or hypothermia in the winter. "Benefit reform", attacking the meager living standards of the lowest paid and most vulnerable. "Capping housing benefit" throwing families onto the street. There is always a reality to their respectable sounding words, words that taken together really mean plundering the public purse for the benefit of the financial Mafia.
Like I said, we haven't been pushed down as far as Greece, YET, but where is the guarantee that we will somehow be saved from that. Do you think that the compassion of the millionaires and their friends in the financial Mafia will some how see our suffering, and stop stuffing their bank accounts? As far as they are concerned, everything is working fine, we the public are pouring billions into their pockets, in the hope that they will be nice to us in the future.

140 university departments are closing down –

The ministry of education decided to close down 140 higher education departments including entire institutes. In an effort to keep the society as less educated as possible, and given that a lot of young people are developing a radical political identity and practice within the universities, the government now closes down entire departments while from this year on the free textbooks policy comes to an end, while there are systematic efforts to introduce tuition fees.
Meanwhile the union of the hospital doctors yesterday announced that they are going on a partial-strike accepting only A&E patients and rescheduling every arranged appointments with patients. Hospital doctors protest because the Ministry of Health does not pay them for work they done, while doctors salaries have fallen circa 40% the last couple of years.

THE TIPPING POINT.

As people across Europe realise that the "austerity" cuts have not yet reached their full intensity and that there are no plans to reverse this direction, what then? As the poverty sinks in and the pain grows in depth and breadth, will it be quiet acquiescence and a grudging acceptance of deprivation for ourselves and future generations, while the millionaire parasites play their frivolous  lives out in opulence? Will there be a tipping point when the people see the injustice clearly and say enough is enough? Will we reclaim the world for our children and grandchildren leaving them an inheritance that we can be proud of, an inheritance of justice and mutual aid, a sustainable world of peace and co-operation. How do we get there? By asking our lords and masters for a handful more crumbs to see us through the winter, or by taking control of our communities and shaping them to our desires in federation with all other like minded communities. Do we negotiate with the financial Mafia who have only one aim, to plunder the Earth for profit, or do we see them as the root cause of our problem and get rid of them? Do work for the total liberation from, and destruction of, this brutal corrupt system of capitalism by whatever means at our disposal, or do we just hope for the best?

THE NOISE IN THE STREET #1
If they asked us in what way we would like the world to work, we would affirm that we would like that we implement mutual aid, collaboration, collectivisation and self-management, but we think that at the moment a progressive change is impossible and will not happen alone. We must create a situation that creates a change. While people mutter, “this is difficult to believe”, in the streets we see that the police, paid by the tax-payers, and already militarised, tortures and kills our comrades. We have decided since some time to amplify our range of tactics to the use of direct action using sabotage, expropriation and the use of force if we need it for self-defence. We do not consider it as the only possible path but believe this radically increases the possibilities of change. We are currently seeing the growth of affinity groups in our city that show there is light at the end of the tunnel, along with attempts to revive various Federations and talks on the best methods for organizing ourself.

WHEN THE POLICE JOIN THE DEMONSTRATIONS!!!!

As the Greek political class go about enforcing more drastic "austerity cuts" at the dictate of the IMF, (International Mankind Fuckers) and the financial Mafia they have made it clear that the police will not be exempt from the wage cuts and slashing of bonuses and pensions. This has of course rattled the obedient servants of the state who have been mounting demonstrations of their own. How does a government force people to accept drastic cuts to their living standards when the police start to say that demonstrations and labour disputes do not come under our public duty? Greece is fast approaching that situation. Governments govern by consent or govern by force, if that consent is withdrawn and that force is no longer available, what then? A European Spring?
Police officers were the first to react with demonstrations in Athens after the government said that their wages and bonuses would not be exempt from the budget measures being demanded by creditors in return for another cash injection. The Greek language blogosphere was alive with angry responses from police related blogs angry that pre-election promises had not been kept and promising a series of protests over the decision.
The $64,000 question is how such cuts, if they are passed will be enforced without the support of the police. With resentment against yet more austerity rising after a summer lull, police officers are being used ever more frequently to end protests and labour disputes. If they decide that this is not their public function, as one police leader intimated last night during an interview on MEGA TV then what other means of persuasion does the government have? Even the feared quasi - military MAT riot units cannot be everywhere.

THE DEATH KNELL OF A SYSTEM??

Most people agree that the present "crisis" has still to unfold, we are only at the stage of birth pains, the real "crisis" has still to be born. All the harsh austerity cuts, (raiding the public purse) are just a frenzied attempt by the financial Mafia to stop the unstoppable. The beautiful palace of consumerism built with bubbles of imagined money is about to go POP. The fools that thought creating imaginary money out of nothing was real wealth, are about to experience a very rude awakening. 2013 will be a year of dramatic changes as the world economic system of greed disintegrates and social structures rupture beyond repair. It could be a golden opportunity to refashion the society we wish to live in, a society of communities based on mutual aid and co-operation, a society that sees to the needs of all our people. Or it could be a re-birth of more of the same or worse, it could descend into a world of brutal warlordism. It all depends on the re-action of the people to the struggle that lies ahead.

Unsold goods pile up as crash takes its toll

In the wake of the Olympics, countless millions of pairs of trainers lie unsold in warehouses. Thousands of Chinese companies from property developers to car manufacturers sit atop mountains of products surplus to a hoped-for demand that never materialised. China became the low-wage manufacturing centre of choice for corporations during the credit-induced 30-year frenzy of growth that preceded the crash. The belief that its burgeoning internal market would absorb an ever increasing volume of production added multiple stories to the house of cards that now lies in ruins. With the global slump worsening and austerity economics stalking the globe, real incomes are dropping fast, so few are spending and consumers are hard to find. The unsold mountains of electronics and white goods are Himalayan in scale. Earlier this month, China’s main retailers descended into a competitive price war, when online trader 360buy.com announced that it would sell home appliances at a zero profit margin. For capitalist companies zero profit is the end of the line. Clearly only the strongest will survive.

THE HETHERINGTON, AUSTRALIA STYLE.

No matter where you go, the plan is austerity cuts. Cuts in education, health, social services are the norm across this corporate capitalist world. We in Europe are told it is a problem with the Euro, but in America and else where, the financial Mafia are still pulling the strings and that means cuts to all social spending. This little story is from Australia, which if you read the babbling brook of bullshit, the media, Australia is doing fine, and is not in recession. Of course that doesn't mean that they are exempt from the financial Mafia's world wide plan of "austerity cuts". This could be Glasgow University's Hetherington, Australian style.

ABC News: Latrobe University students were protesting against funding and job cuts at the humanities faculty during Open Day at the university’s Bundoora campus.
The student union claims the university plans to axe 41 staff and 500 subjects. But as Professor John Dewar was talking to the media, marching students rounded a corner towards him. When they spotted the university head, the protesters chased him into a building and up through a corridor, where he was protected and surrounded by security and staff. Professor Dewar was jostled by the crowd of protesters before staff and security could whisk him away into a nearby room. Students thought they had him holed up as they chanted: “Come out John” and formed a barricade. But Mr Dewar was able to escape the situation by using the university’s underground tunnel network, and was guided back to his office.

THE TROIKA HAS SPOKEN.

Despite the savage slashing of the standard of living of the Greek people over the last few years, despite the resulting poverty, degradation and deprivation sweeping across the general population, the financial Mafia have insisted on more of the same. According to the “Troika” (the financial Mafia's hit team) the Greek people have not been crushed enough and the Greek state apparatus agrees. It's not for the Greek government to look out for the interests of the Greek people, they are there to manage the “austerity” plans of the financial Mafia. So on top of gross hardships the people of Greece are struggling under, on top of the “austerity” cuts that are already in place, they have to be hit with a further €11.5 billion in cuts for 2013. Among other degrading measures, this will entail further cuts in pensions, raising the pension age, more cuts to public sector wages, more public sector sackings and more privatisation. Of course we are told that all this transferring of public money to the bankers is for the benefit of the Greek people. To save the bankers and bond markets from suffering from their gambling losses, the people have to be stripped naked. While the financial Mafia recoup their gambled loot, the people are promised pie in the sky in the bye and bye. While this looting goes on, the people are expected to suffer in silence and feel better knowing that the coffers of the bankers are being replenished. All that matters in this crazy, unjust, economic system (corporate fascism) is that the billionaires of this world don't lose their ill gotten plunder, the people are of little or no concern. The world that the people live in can be shit, that's OK, just don't let the leeches and the parasites lose their power and wealth.

You have to cut wages, we need a bailout.

Of course we have to accept that if we all sit back, sleeping in the illusion that it is all happening somewhere over there and we are all right Jack, we are in for a very rude awakening. It is not a matter of the Greek people done something wrong, so have to pay the price, the Greek people done nothing wrong. It is a pan-European policy and we are all going through the stages. Where Greece is going we are following. Spain and Italy teetering on the brink, Ireland and Portugal, slipping down the slope and several Eastern European countries beside them or not far behind. There is nothing in this process that will show compassion because the people are suffering, we are not in the equation. If we don't like being ripped off by a billionaire class, then we have to sort the problem, we have to take control, we have to shape the society we want. They are shaping it the way that they want it to be, we sit back and let them or we shape it the way we want, there is no compromise.

TAKE YOUR MEDICINE AND YOU'LL GET SOME PIE IN THE SKY.

The IMF's (International Mankind Fuckers) hit squad, the financial Mafia, are back in Greece, to see if their minions, the Greek state apparatus, has plundered the public purse to their satisfaction. The answer of course will be no, they will have to introduce more “austerity” cuts. The fact that the Greek economy has contracted by 20% since 2008 and is expected to shrink by a further 7% and what this means to the Greek people, is of no consequence to the IMF/ECB, all that matters is the the various states make sure that the bond markets, banks and others of the financial Mafia, get all the money back that they gambled and lost. We should accept that in their plans this is not a temporary drop in the living standards of the people across Europe, this is a permanent adjustment in the difference in wealth between what is drip fed to the public and what goes into the coffers of the very rich. You are not meant to get it all back in a couple of years. Here in the UK they are now talking of “austerity” cuts continuing through 2017 and possibly 2020. However, it is not happening quick enough for the banking leeches, so Spain is now being pushed to get public spending down to the level of Greece or below. The results of their attack on public spending, wages and pensions, is that Greece is now running out of medicines, hospitals are closing, health problems are rocketing, suicides, drug and alcohol problems are escalating, and with the closing of needle exchanges due to cuts, HIV is increasing faster than anywhere else in Europe. This is not even noticed by the financial Mafia, all they see is financial balance sheets. Just as the Greek people take to the streets in anger, we are now seeing mounting revolt spreading across the cities of Spain. The fact is that the financial Mafia will not be deterred by a couple of countries in social turmoil, they will proceed with their march of destruction through country after country, carrying the false idea that they can balance their books and get back all that gambling loss. How long they go on with their vicious attack on the living standards of the people of all Europe will depend on the public. We can stop them dead in their tracks and change the whole structure under which we live, or we can accept their vision of the future and hope that if we put up with it, they will throw us a few biscuits, in some time in the future.

WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO SELF DEFENCE.

Some previews of Martin Schulz's "social explosion", The Spanish people have stirred and there are €65 billion more of cuts on the way, courtesy of the financial Mafia, ECB and IMF (International Mankind Fuckers). By the time that they admit that the cuts and bailouts aren't working for Spain and Greece, they will have moved on to Italy, Ireland and Portugal. The march of the financial Mafia is not going to stop because a few million people are suffering. It will stop when the people stop them by destroying the present economic system and creating a system of mutual aid and co-operation. Their so called "crisis" is our golden opportunity to expose the flaws in their corporate greed feast, a chance to construct alternative modes of life, human interaction freed from the profit motive.
We the people are under attack from the corporate fascists, the financial Mafia and their henchmen, the national governments, who do the dirty work of implementing their plan and subduing the protests. When you are attacked, you have the right to self defence.

The corporate fascists answer to the people's anger.

SOCIAL EXPLOSION,

It seems that the European Parliament is coming round to what I have been saying for well over a year. Martin Schulz, president of the European Parliament, stated on Saturday, when speaking of the economic crisis in Spain, that it could spark a social explosion across the continent. In an interview with the German Newspaper, Bild, he said, “The demonstrations in Spain show that a social explosion is looming because of the high unemployment rate among young people in Europe,” It should be obvious by now that bailouts solve nothing, it is just shuffling debt around the table. It is a game of big numbers that is meant to impress, but doesn't mean a thing. The only people who gain in this illusion are the bankers, the financial Mafia, they collect a fee every time their sweaty hands pass the bundle around. Greece shook them a little, but Greece is not a big player in the corporate greed game, Spain is. The unrest in Greece is on the periphery, Spain is considered mainland Europe and is big. Unrest there would have the financial Mafia really worried, as the rest of Europe is suffering under the same “austerity” plan. It is all just a matter of degree and time. As the “austerity” plan in each of the countries in Europe drives the people deeper into poverty and deprivation, it would only be a matter of time before the whole of Europe shows it anger and despair and takes to the streets. They would be fools if they didn't, and I have never taken the people to be fools, naïve, too tolerant, but fools, never.
Where I think Mr Martin Shulz is wrong is his belief that it is just the unemployment that will cause the explosion, I believe it will be the breaking down of the social fabric of society through poverty, and destruction of social services, on top of rapidly rising unemployment across the continent, all seen to be caused by the greed and corruption of the few. We can only plan and hope that the “social explosion” will seek answers outside the present system and will not be appeased by being thrown a few biscuits, while the parasites go back to their banquet.

SPAIN, GREECE, -- ITALY NEXT??

The last piece I posted stated that Spain is on the road to join Greece, well is Italy far behind with $2.6 trillion debt which is 118% of GDP? At the moment Italy's unemployment is running at 10.1% with unemployment among the young, at a shocking 36.2%. The unemployment figure is taken as those actively looking for work as a percentage of the working population. Adding to this the fact that the technocrat government has stated that it will shed 10% of public sector jobs. How many have given up trying to look for work when they know that there aren't any jobs and unemployment is rising. Like Spain and Greece, Italy is trying hard to appease the financial Mafia, It is cutting $67 billion from its budget and now there is to be a further €4.5 billion cut from public spending to try to avoid a further increase in VAT. There is an on going plan to cut public spending, in 2013 there is to be a further €10.5 billion, and in 2014 a further €11 billion. All that translates into cuts in services to the ordinary people, from schools, libraries, health care, etc.. To add to the people's woes, come September the VAT rises from 21% to 23%. How will this affect the ordinary people of Italy? Like Spain and Greece, they will see poverty and deprivation rise alarmingly, health problems associated with poverty will rocket. One of the ways the Italian unelected government is dealing with this, is closing 150 hospitals, while axing 80,000 hospital beds is under discussion. Another way that the technocratic unelected cabal in Italy are bowing to the financial Mafia is to sell of national assets, these will be sold to the friends of the financial Mafia at knock-down prices, they always are.
So with unemployment set to shoot up fast, VAT and prices on the increase, wage cuts/freezes the accepted norm, public services slashed, what you are looking at is the decimation of the social structure of a country, for no other reason than to appease our lords and masters, the financial Mafia. This is capitalism in turbo charge. Who is next to be raped by the financial Mafia?

SPAIN JOINING GREECE.

As the managers of the European Financial Mafia shuffle around their marble halls devising ever more brutal ways to try to protect and increase their bosses coffers, it is becoming increasingly obvious that Spain is fast closing in on Greece as the front line of that financial Mafia's assault on the European working /middle class.
The Spanish banks are getting a handout of €30 billion, for this the financial Mafia are insisting on more draconian slashing of public spending and Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy is eager to placate his masters. Four months ago he announced cuts of €27 billion, stating that it was the most austere budget in Spain's history. Now to appease his lords and masters he is pushing through further cuts amounting to €65 billion. The European financial Mafia are insisting on a further 2.7% cut in this year's budget.
At the moment Spain's unemployment is running at 24%, the highest in Europe, with unemployment among the young at a staggering 50%. Once the financial Mafia's new wave of “austerity” starts to kick in we can expect to see those rates go stratospheric. While unemployment is rising, some of the cuts that are going to hit savagely at the Spanish people will be a cut of 30% off unemployment benefit, plus a 3% rise in VAT to 21%. On top of that there will be a €3.5 billion cut in local government spending and a further €600 million cut in central government spending.
There is no doubt that what is happening in Greece and Spain will soon be travelling to a city near you. If anybody is foolish enough to think that what the financial Mafia have done to Greece and what they are in the process of doing to Spain will solve the “crisis”, they are living in cloud cuckoo land. Looking at the recent estimate of the unemployment trend, from The International Labour Organisation, I think they are looking at the situation with rose tinted glasses They have stated that they expect Europe's unemployment to rise from 17.5 million to around 22 million, though staggering and brutal, I see this a a grossly under estimated figure. Meanwhile America is teetering on the precipice of financial disaster.
As the latest manuevers of the financial Mafia unfold, it is blindingly obvious that capitalism as a system for the prosperity of all the people is an illusion. It lurches from crisis to crisis and its only answer is to screw the people, and save the parsites.

SCHOOLS BECOMING CULTURAL DESERTS.

Our education system at present is not fit for purpose but as our millionaire cabal, called the cabinet, working on behalf of the financial Mafia, continue with their "austerity", "deficit reduction" plan, the situation can only deteriorate. Schooling at present is not about education, it is about being a conveyor belt system to feed the needs of the corporate world. Those that can't be used at a profit by the corporate beast, can be dumped as surplus to requirements. Our kids deserve more than that as their future prospects, they deserve the full spectrum of cultural interaction, every opportunity to develop to their full potential. Of course we all know that it will not happen in a capitalist exploitative profit driven system of greed.

Schools becoming cultural deserts

What kind of education you get – and the chance to participate in music, film, theatre and other forms of culture – is more than ever dependent on your parents’ status and income, how aggressive they are in getting you into a well-resourced school, if they can afford extra tuition and where you live.
Middle class and wealthy parents offset poor provision in many state schools by moving to other areas, sending their children to fee-paying schools or paying for  private tuition. But these options are difficult or impossible for those on lower incomes, those whose benefits are being slashed and those living outside urban centres.
Above all, children’s access to culture is most affected by inequality, as Action for Children’s Arts (ACA) reveals. Using information obtained through the Freedom of Information Act, the charity discovered that, while children under 12 years make up 15% of the population, “their share of the available public funding for the arts is rarely more than 1%”.

DON'T PAY??

The extreme hardship being inflicted on the Greek people by the financial Mafia has pushed the people to organise with new tactics and strategies in an attempt to hold on to some dignity. The savageness of the "austerity cuts" has radicalised thousands of Greeks and forced them to think outside the system of exploitation. One of the fastest growing organisations is the "Don't Pay" movement, which is gaining momentum as the living standards of the Greek people descend ever deeper into deprivation.
The following article translated from the Greek, though not the best English, does convey the principles behind the movement.
ABOUT US          The ‘DEN PLIRONO’ movement is born from the current social needs and constitutes a political movement of disobedience and resistance. It is flesh from the flesh of all exploited social layers and fights for two years, vindicating the social character of public goods. Fundamental political place and axis of action of our movement constitutes freeing of charge and access to all people, in all social goods that are essential for his decent existence.
We fightingly claim free of charge education, health, streets, public spaces, Means of Public Transport, Water, Electricity, all natural goods (eg beaches, forests, air), and each good of social character for each person, Greek or immigrant.
The unprecedented crisis of the last years tosses radically the capitalistic system. Rulers in their effort to fortify their political, economical and ideological regime and to subjugate people, they form new, disguised juntas.
The economic fortification of (global and national) financial system requires direct transport of wealth from the households to the banks. Such a ‘grab’ is attempted with the curtailment of wage and pensions, the dissolution of public health and education, the selling out of public property and with the continuous anti-social taxes.
The question that enters henceforth in the population is the following: How long for will we bend our heads obeying to a bunch bullies exploiters who want to steal our life? When at last will we rise up and take back our lives?
The first signs of collective workers’ class struggle has already initiated. The ‘DEN PLIRONO’ movement committees, the neighborhood assemblies, the strikes in the factories (eg Steelworks) and in Means of Mass Media (ERT, ALTER, etc.) they are certainly some of the luminous examples of disobedience and resistance.
We call all exploited individuals, to choose the way of collective fight by actively participating in the open committees of the ‘DEN PLIRONO’ movement. We invite you all to unite our voices and our punches in order to take back our stolen lives.

WE DO NOT PAY THEIR CRISIS
WE ORGANISE COLLECTIVELY THE REFUSAL OF PAYMENTS TO ALL NEIGHBORHOODS
WE FIGHT AGAINST ALL THOSE WHO STEAL OUR LIVES UNTIL THE FINAL VICTORY

THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE AND THE BATON.

This video shows how “austerity cuts” are pushed through in Greece, the resentment and anger of the people at the savage slashing of their living standards, is met with unbridled brutality. While the unelected leader of the Greek government forces through the dictate of the financial Mafia, the state's muscle men are on the streets doing their damnedest to instil subservience through fear. It is not that the Greek state is any more brutal than any other European state, it is just that the Greek people are being hit harder by the “deficit reduction” plan, and are therefore showing more anger, so have to be beaten down harder by the Greek state, who are doing no more than any other state will do, should they feel the need. As the number of people in the UK being pushed into poverty rises, unemployment soars and social services are slashed, we can expect to see the anger spill onto the streets, it is then we will see the UK state unleash its well trained, well kitted out riot police to do its duty, and brutally subdue the will of the people. Nothing must stand in the way of the plunder of public assets, nothing must hinder the transfer of wealth from the public to the private bank accounts of the financial Mafia.

THE ROSE OF FIRE.

As the "deficit reduction" and the "austerity cuts" bit ever deeper into the living standards of the ordinary people, what shape will the protests take? I always say, workers know your history, there are lessons to be learnt there.

The History

“La rosa de foc ha tornat!” This was the expression of excitement on many people’s lips during the general strike throughout Spain on March 29, 2012. While the unions estimated an impressive 77% turnout, it was the fires blackening the skies over Barcelona that everyone talked about.
At the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th centuries, when more anarchist attentats and bombings were carried out in Barcelona than in any other two countries combined and dozens of churches and police stations were burned to the ground, the city was affectionately known as la rosa de foc, “the rose of fire.” The period of“revolutionary gymnastics” in the ’20s and ’30s foregrounded the city as a laboratory of subversion for anarchist struggles worldwide, a role that was taken further with the revolution of July 1936. The struggle of Catalan maquis—guerrillas—during the Franco years was the precursor to the guerrilla struggles that blossomed in Europe and Latin America in the ’60s and ’70s; in some cases, it was the vector along which experience and materials were directly passed on. But this history has largely been lost, thanks to the rupture imposed by fascism and democracy, and Barcelona lost its significance on the revolutionary stage.

With the backing of the democratic powers, forty years of dictatorship and repression effectively suppressed the anarchist movement in Catalunya and the rest of the Spanish state. A great deal of pro-anarchist sentiment remained, but this was dissipated when the rebounding social revolution was sidetracked by the transition to democracy in the 1970s. Hundreds of thousands of people were taking the street, hoping to pick up the torch that had been dropped in ’36, but the government played its cards well, the returning CNT played its cards poorly, and democracy carried the day. Since then, the city has been tamed, if not outright pacified, and the rose of fire forgotten.
