Act of War.

In this crazy capitalist world of drive for domination, war is the main tool. In today's hi-tech world there are more than one way of waging war. Today we have U$A and NATO's proxy war in Ukraine, fought with Western weaponry but uses Ukrainian blood. However, the U$A's war against China takes a different shape, it is a sanctions war being fought to try to strangle China's further advances in the hi-tech world and so destroy its economy.

An interesting article from Struggle-La-Lucha.

The July 12 New York Times Magazine headlined: “‘An Act of War’: Inside America’s Silicon Blockade Against China.”
The report is about the October 2022 “export controls” against China:
“Last October, the United States Bureau of Industry and Security issued a document that — underneath its 139 pages of dense bureaucratic jargon and minute technical detail — amounted to a declaration of economic war on China. …
“The Oct. 7 controls essentially seek to eradicate, root and branch, China’s entire ecosystem of advanced technology. ‘The new policy embodied in Oct. 7 is: Not only are we not going to allow China to progress any further technologically, we are going to actively reverse their current state of the art,’ [Gregory] Allen [of the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington] says. C.J. Muse, a senior semiconductor analyst at Evercore ISI, put it this way: ‘If you’d told me about these rules five years ago, I would’ve told you that’s an act of war — we’d have to be at war.’”
The U.S. export controls (the act of war) on computer chips aim to cripple China’s ability to produce or purchase high-end chips, which are crucial for the development of advanced technologies such as supercomputers and artificial intelligence (AI). Some call this a Silicon Curtain in the New Cold War against China. The U.S. controls (again, an act of war) are not narrowly targeted at curbing Chinese military development, as claimed by the Biden administration. On her recent visit to China, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen seemed openly insincere when she tried to say the controls were not aimed at the broader economy. China’s Premier Li Qiang, who met Yellen, told her that she was “overstretching.”
The export controls are broad. As the New York Times reports, they seek to undermine China’s entire ecosystem of advanced technology, including its AI industry. The semiconductor industry is seen as a means to achieve this goal.
The semiconductor industry is a global industry that the U.S. has dominated and controlled, as U.S. Big Oil has dominated the global energy industry.
The Pentagon’s semiconductor project
The semiconductor industry began as a project of the Pentagon’s Semiconductor Technology Advanced Research Network (STARnet), part of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). The industry in the U.S. was and is, to this day, heavily financed by the Pentagon and the U.S. government.
The CHIPS Act, passed by Congress and signed by President Biden in August 2022, pumped an additional $280 billion in new funding for the research and manufacture of semiconductors in the U.S. That was followed by a DARPA announcement in January 2023 that it was putting almost half a billion dollars into a project to help advance the semiconductor industry in the U.S. None of this, by the way, was created or developed by any capitalist entrepreneur. Capitalism does not create anything on its own; it just finds a way to exploit new technology to make a profit. And many of the biggest, highest profit-making capitalist industries were created and funded by the government in various ways, including most of the technology industry, the internet, the pharmaceutical industry, the automobile industry, and even Big Oil.
The semiconductor industry is a knowledge-intensive industry. It is built on shared knowledge and resources. Initially, semiconductor companies were built on open innovation. Because of its complexity, development, and production required the collaboration of research centers, universities, scientists, engineers, and many others to develop the techniques and methodologies required. The pace of innovation in the semiconductor industry has been incredibly rapid. New chip designs are constantly being developed, and the capabilities of chips are constantly increasing. This is due to a number of factors, including:

Imagine.

Not a new video, but just imagine!!

To be honest I don't see Trump as waging any new wars, more as a coup maker, a sanction-wager and a pulveriser of the poor, obviously still surplus to humanities requirements.

Time To Tighten The Screw On Pensioners.

Anyone who lives in the world of ordinary people is well aware that the vast majority of pensioners are not rich, a considerable number of them live in poverty, some in dire poverty. However, that does not stop the well heeled parasitic politicians with their grand salaries and lush pensions from putting pensioners in the line of attack in their pseudo science of economics. They have devised a method of stripping the unemployed of their benefits through workfare and sanctions, they have implemented a system to deprive the sick of their benefits by means of assessments and sanctions, so now it is time to attack the pensioners. They started by raising the age at which you can receive your pension, now, their latest manoeuvre to comply with the ideology of their pseudo economics, it is time to destroy the "triple lock" system, by which pensioners are guaranteed an increase in their meagre pensions each year. All this at a time when inflation is predicted to shoot up.

Piece by piece our communities are attacked, section by section they are dealt an economic blow, all done under the financial Mafia's, "austerity" banner, wafted by the breeze of illusion called "balancing the books". If by some weird twist of the mind, our lords and masters were trying to "balance the books", there is no problem, our country is awash with money. We have billions for nuclear weapons, billions for bombing Libya, billions for war in Syria, billions to subsidise the corporate greed machine, but by their reckoning, not enough to see the the welfare of the needy in this country.
This "triple lock" attached to pensions has, since its inception, stuck in the throat of many of those well-heeled politicians, their twisted minds were mulling over the point, "why should pensioners get some sort of guaranteed increase each year, while we are screwing the rest of the population". So it is time to start turning the screw tighter on the pensioners.
By any measure, this system is insane, but worse, it is vicious, savage and brutal, to those who create all the wealth there is in this land. Are we to believe the blurb put out by the billionaire owned media, that this is the only way we can function as a society? It is simply a man made system of exploitation that creates wars, spreads poverty and spawns misery, for the benefit the few, at the expense of the many. I know we have the imagination, the ability and the resources to create a better world that cares for all, that takes care of the needs of all our people. All it lacks is the will of the people to take that step and demolish this insane creator of wars, misery and poverty. As long as we tolerate capitalism we will suffer poverty and deprivation, we will endure wars, and destroy the environment. Why?

Action Against Workfare And Sanctions.

As the Crooks and Liars competition, (the general election) snarls and grunts its way towards the finishing line, we have been bombarded with economical magic formulae, which are supposed to transform our lives. There has been a myriad of variations on how to reduce the "deficit" allowing us to enter the promised land. Our lives are to be governed by what is good for business, the assumption being that if the CEOs of the corporate world are happy, then they will make our lives better. All bullshit of course.
As far as I am aware, not one entrant to the Crooks and Liars competition, has mentioned anything about stopping workfare, and getting rid of sanctions. These two planks of the capitalist "economic recovery" are without doubt responsible for untold misery in our communities. They are responsible for pushing people to food banks, skipping meals, not heating their homes, running up debt, and a host of other diseases of the capitalist system.
This week sees the start of a week of action against workfare, (slave labour) and sanctions, (vindictive punishment of the vulnerable). Sadly most of what is advertised seems to be in London, hopefully as the week progresses we will see increasing protest events spreading right across the country.. Remember, workfare is an attack on wages and working conditions, and that affects us all.

No workfare. No sanctions. Whoever wins we will resist!
As the general election campaign gets underway we are already seeing politicians calling for more of the same policies. More workfare. More sanctions. Yet we know that these policies have been a total disaster. It is shameful that workfare and sanctions are supported by all the main political parties. This is why we are holding a week of action in the week before the election. We need your help to expose and challenge workfare and sanctions policies and the political lies that underpin them.----------

"Walking Tall".

So according to Chancellor Osborne, that aristocratic millionaire product of the Oxbridge sausage factory, Britain is “Walking Tall” again. What a wonderful sound-bite, what a load of crap. Britain is certainly a very rich country, Britain is certainly awash with wealth, Britain is the seventh richest country in the world, but sadly it is all stuffed in the bank accounts, off-shore and elsewhere, of his corrupt cabal of parasites.
Britain, continues to produce a mass of wealth, yet it is one of the most unequal countries in the developed world. That wealth, that we the ordinary people create, is soon looted and plundered and syphoned up to feed an army of over fed, greedy parasites. The result being that in this very rich country, according to a recent report by Oxfam and Church Action On Poverty, for the year 2013/14, a staggering 20,247,042, meals were given out to people in food poverty, an increase of 54% on the previous year. “Walking Tall” Britain has millions living on the breadline. Most non-government organisations that deal with poverty in this country, agree that the increase in food poverty, among other results of poverty, are changes to the social security system, a punitive sanction regime, an increase in part-time work, zero hours contracts, years of stagnant incomes, and ever increasing living costs. All these factors make it increasingly difficult for families to put food on the table.
In “Walking Tall” Britain, one in five people live below the poverty line, and in some of our many poorer areas, life expectancy is lower than in some developing countries. In the Calton district of Glasgow it is 59 years. While this struggle to pry a decent living out of this exploitative system goes on for the majority of us, the rich keep getting richer and the gap between the real people who create the wealth, and those rich parasites that plunder it, keeps getting wider.
In 21st century Britain, where we are again “Walking Tall” many people, on a daily basis face, rising prices, unfair working conditions, benefit cuts, and reduced buying power, making food banks the only option open to them. With this standard of living in the 7th richest country in the world, aristocratic Osborne and his cabal of millionaire plunderers, are planning even more severe cuts in the coming years. Cuts that will of course, drastically affect you and I, but will add more swag to his band of millionaire parasites, who will, as they clink their champagne glasses, congratulate him on getting Britain, “Walking Tall” again.
Relaxing before a plundering raid.
There are two Britains, there is the one that you and I, the real wealth creators inhabit, in poverty and struggle. Then there is the other Britain, inhabited by a band of worthless parasites, who by duplicity and deceit, rob us stinking, and they live in unimaginable wealth and splendour. It doesn't have to be that way. We could really be "Walking Tall", by ridding ourselves of this corrupt, unjust, exploitative system, and getting that band of plundering parasites off our backs for once and for all. Taking the abundant wealth of this country, that we created, and sharing it to see to the needs of all our people.
Completing their course in plundering.

Sanctioned And Death.

Without a doubt, the most vicious, callous, brutal, despicable piece of legislation being push by the pampered parasites sitting in the Westminster House of Hypocrisy and Corruption, must surely be the "sanctioning" of people who are already in dire circumstances. To remove the pittance of benefit that a person depends on for a paupers level of survival, because of some petty infringement of their arbitrary rules, pushing the individual into dire deprivation, and in many cases to suicide, is contrary to any human standard of decency and humanity.

Those who device such measures are vile inhumane sub-human species, but those who carry out that legislation willingly, are beneath contempt and unworthy of a life in the sewers. What makes them even more disgusting vermin, is the fact that on the whole, they are from the same class as those that they savage with their decisions. All for the benefit of those pampered parasites that sit in their millionaire bubble, safe in their marble halls of power. What can you call somebody who kills his own kind for money and personal gain?

johnny void puts it much better than I can, in this article from The Void:
There is no argument any more, benefit sanctions kill.  They are the cause of desperate suffering as has now been well documented by organisations which work with claimants such as Citizen’s Advice, MIND, Gingerbread, Oxfam, Homeless Link and countless others.  Whatever your views on the social security system there should be no doubt, benefit sanctions are intended as punishment, and that punishment is severe.
To hear that Job centre staff are being given Easter eggs, or gold stars or Texas fucking badges as prizes for inflicting this regime is repugnant.  There is something very wrong at the DWP when the tears and broken lives they cause are met with laughter and merriment and fucking competitions to do it to as many people possible.  Do they get a bonus if they sanction someone who goes on to top themself?  An extra pat on the head if someone is sick and may not last the Winter if they can’t afford to put the heating on?  At the very least you might expect some dignity, sensitivity and awareness of the seriousness of their actions.  But instead it’s just a big fucking joke.  Has a government department ever sunk any lower?

UK Slavery Is Alive And Well.

The various workfare schemes slither their way through our society, and the government is hoping that this type of  unpaid labour will become the accepted pattern. You will leave school, try to get a job, find it almost impossible, sign on, and then be sent to some corporate greed monster, and work for six months for no wages, then back to signing on. The circle will be repeated ad infinitum. That way the corporate bosses have a large pool of unpaid labour, and that helps to keep wages down.
The figure for unpaid slave labour in this country is approaching the 200,000. that's 200,000 people working all day and walking home without a wage. Who do you think gains? Failing to comply with this dictatorial slave labour plan results in your meagre unemployment benefit being stopped. This of course pushes you deeper into the cesspool of deprivation. Punishment for refusing to be a slave to some rich corporate greed machine.
From Boycott Workfare:

There is a growing number of workfare schemes
Workfare is not voluntary
People on workfare placements are counted as "employed" in government statistics
Sanctions have dramatically increased
Workfare replaces jobs and undermines wages
The government is rolling out workfare on a massive scale
Workfare does not work
Workfare affects everyone
protesters outside bhf
There is a mass protest, 4th. - 12th. October, being organised against this humiliation of those people who can't find work, in a system that doesn't offer them any. It is time that we took this slave labour scheme by the throat and strangled it, before it strangles us.

Forcing people to work for free through the threat of removing people’s benefits (sanctions) is unfair, unjust and wrong. In the week of action, tell the companies and charities who are profiting from this exploitative regime what you think of their involvement! Email, Tweet, use Facebook, phone them, protest, organise a flashmob: for a week of piling the pressure on workfare exploiters.
We know these tactics work! Just look at how quickly Byteback IT had to pull out when you told them what you thought after George Osborne made the mistake of visiting them. This is just one of the latest in a whole list of businesses and charities that have also pulled out of workfare following our pressure.

Week Of Action Against Workfare.

ATOS continues its march of murder across the vulnerable in our society. I recently posted about the the tragic affair of Jacqueline Harris, who took her own life after being deemed fit to work by ATOS and having her disability allowance removed. Well their brutal actions are still bringing misery and death to our people. It was recently reported that Victor Cuff, aged59, who suffered from depression, took his own life, after having his benefits cut when those box ticking bureaucrats at ATOS, assessed him fit for work. How long will we sit back and allow this brutality against the sick and vulnerable people in our community?
Because that babbling brook of bullshit, the mainstream media, doesn't report the full extent of the onslaught against the ordinary people in our communities, lots people are unaware of the full horror of this “austerity” plan. We have workfare, forcing thousands to work for free, for corporate greed merchants, we have people facing the threat of eviction and /or reduced benefits, because of certain circumstances, they find they now have a “spare room” . We have ATOS declaring the sick and vulnerable, fit for work, then there are stagnant wages, while food and energy bills go through the roof. Then let's not forget those thousands, 70,000, at the last estimate, who face hunger and deprivation because of “sanctions”. When one of the growth areas is food banks, you know that society has failed its people. These are all a deliberate attack on the living standards of our people, an attempt to get the UK on course to be part of the new sweatshop Europe. The low wage, low welfare economy, is the corporate world's plan to boost their competitiveness with the Eastern sweatshop empire.
With a concerted well organised effort we can stop this juggernaut of corporatism and start to build a society we want, one that sees to the needs of all our people. After all we the people make everything on this planet, we distribute everything on this planet, but the system dictates what we make and where we distribute it, and it is all for the benefit of the leeches on our backs, our unnecessary burden of parasites. There are the resources, we have the ability, and we know there is a need, all that is missing is our will to take control and create that better world for all.

week of action

This coming week there is planned week of action against workfare, get involved, employed, unemployed, retired, disabled, homeless, it affects us all, by lowering the standard of living across the board. If we shout loud enough, others will hear and realise that they are not alone. We can change this society.

Work For Nothing To Feed The Greedy Rich.

-->

Being unemployed in this society is a debilitating existence, being forced onto workfare is even worse. Not only do you still grind out your life in poverty, but you turn up every day to help to fill the coffers of some rich greedy bastard, with no gain to you. Apart from workfare there is the harassment  and sanctions forced on you, if you don't jump through all the hoops to some bureaucrats satisfaction. This is all part of the ideology of a cheap labour force, a sweatshop Europe, and it will require the solidarity of all our class to bring this capitalist dream to an end.
Protest against Sanctions, plus SUWN meeting Wed 7th August, Glasgow
Protest outside Partick Jobcentre (20 Benalder Street Glasgow) - organised by the Scottish Unemployed Workers' Network as part of the Week of Action called by the Civil Service Rank and File Network to help bring an end to sanctions, workfare and harassment of claimants. From 3 - 4.30pm
(See http://www.boycottworkfare.org/?p=2825)

After the protest we will be holding a planning meeting about future campaigning. We will meet at the STUC (333 Woodlands Road, room 4 upstairs) starting at 5pm. This will be open to anyone interested. (Call 07803 052239 if the door is locked)

WESTERN TERRORISTS!!!

As the events unfold in Libya, the West is spouting about a bright new future for Libya. Whose Libya? Will it be the Libya of the religious fundamentalists, or perhaps the Libya of the big business corporate world, or more likely a combination of these two. After seeing the brutal murdering of Col. Gadaffi, I can't see a fair and democratic Libya working for the benefit of all Libyans, coming out of this destruction of a country. You would think that by now we would recognise the pattern of how the Western media, at the dictate of their masters the political class, demonise a leader and/or a country somehow legitimising sanctions against the ordinary people and then it isn't working, so let's go in and bomb the shit out of them. Libya, like Iraq, is a warning to all smaller countries with resources that the West want to control. The following is an extract from an article at RT.

As some European leaders demonstrate a celebratory mood over the violent death of Colonel Gaddafi, they are no less terrorists themselves, claims international consultant and author Adrian Salbuchi.
Salbuchi said Gaddafi’s death was undoubtedly a message for the whole world, as it is not just about Libya.
“We are seeing how Hillary Clinton, US Secretary of State expressed it very clearly: ‘We came, we saw, he died,’ and then started laughing. This is a message to the world of how this new world order model actually works,” he stated. “When they decide to change the regime, they do so with the utmost violence, and it is a whole model. First they target a country by calling it a rogue state; then they support local terrorists and call them freedom fighters; then they bring death and destruction upon civilians and they call it UN sanctions. Then they spread lies and call it the International Community’s opinion expressed by the Western media. Then they invade and control the country and call it liberation and finally they steal appetizing oil and call it foreign investment and reconstruction,” Salbuchi explained.

Don't you know, wars create jobs?

At the moment Western powers are hailing a democratic future for Libya. When Saddam Hussein was captured in 2003 the US also thought it was all over – but it had only just begun. And according to Salbuchi, it is going to be the same, or even worse, for Libya.

WORKERS KNOW YOUR HISTORY - IRAQ.

January 16 marks the twentieth anniversary of “Desert Storm”, a massive American bombardment against the Iraqi civilian population, mainly around Baghdad the Iraqi capital. The bombing consisted of more than 100,000 sorties dropping more than 85,500 tonnes of bombs. It was the precursor to the the first American lead invasion of Iraq. After this first invasion the people of Iraq suffered more than 10 years of American lead economic sanctions, during which it is estimated that over 500,000 Iraqi children died as a result of these sanctions. This was followed by Operation “Southern Watch” which began in August 1992, operation “Vigilant Warrior" began 1994, then “Desert Strike, 1996 which expanded the “no-fly zone over parts of Northern Iraq, then of course there was operation “Desert Fox” which was a 4 day bombing campaign that started on December 16 1998.

It is estimated that between 1992 and 2001, 2 years before the so called war on Iraq is supposed to have started, American and allied pilots flew over Southern Iraq some 153,000 times. The Americans have never stopped military operations in Iraqi over the last 20 years and have been meddling in Iraqi internal affairs since they helped put Saddam Hussein in power in 1963. That is 48 years of the Iraqi people have been suffering because of American Imperialism. So don't accept the myth that is peddled that the Iraq war is heading for its 8th anniversary, it is 48 years of American meddling of which 20 years has been brutal military oppression.
They are still there, still exerting their military might on the Iraqi people. Think of a generation growing up their entire lives spent under these conditions, will they have any love of the Western world? The people of Iraq must be allowed to determine the future of their own country without the interference of Western Imperialism lead by the American military machine. The Iraqi people have suffered a brutal hell because of US policy through four different US Presidents, George Bush, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and now Obama. The Iraqi people have suffered more than enough, they have the right to SELF determination, not forced to live their lives according to some Western ideology.
